Been in near constant, horrible pain without any real relief since the end of November. Dealing with lots of stress which makes it all so much worse. (((Hugs))) to all of us suffering with physical or emotional pain and special (((((HUGS))))) for those dealing with both.

Ditto. You're not alone!! Exact same with day being ok and nights being su thoughts. I also don't want to go in (or let people down) and I don't always want to be like this... having to tell t. Dunno what to do anymore. Hang on and ride it out I guess.

Hi guys I have been battling migraines for a couple of weeks, dealing with my daughter which I am not anymore. There comes a point when you have to distance yourself. She needs to fall and fall hard before she realizes how good she really did have it.

Mikey's broken arm is healing really well. My brother in law just finished his chemo he gets a break till next month then he starts radiation 5 days a week. For up to 9 weeks then he might have to have more chemo.

Our other friend just died. Massive heart attack in his mid 40's and I had the pleasure of telling my husband that the man he thinks of has a father has a tumor in his stomach lining

I just hope inmake it through 2017

Sorry to rant but I am feeling very lonely right now.

I am so sore and achy right now, I seriously just want to cry... I took a prescription ibuprofen about an hour ago, and it doesn't feel like it did anything... barely got any sleep last night because of having to leave early this morning to travel (again) by car to another city. 9 am to 1 pm with just 2 breaks, and then another 45 min farther and back for dinner... and have to head home tomorrow... I can't do this...

Cake, you hang in there. You have all of us and we all love you.

I am hanging on by my fingernails. I was too sick to go have my MRI done on my knee this week. I am missing my SIL's birthday party as I type this. I'm just too tired to go. I am staying sick and worn out all the time. I had one huge burst of energy last week and cleaned a lot. I'm still a mess from it and my apartment looks like nothing's been done to it.

I must go to the grocery store. I'm out of the essentials. I just don't know if I can manage it. My friend is coming down to bring some meatloaf for dinner and she's going to take one look at my kitchen and have a fit on me. I don't need it.

I have to be at the hospital at 6:45 a.m. on Tues. to swallow the camera pill. I have to do a prep for it the night before.

I am very happy to say Belle is doing well on her new food. She is chewing up anything she can find, including my rug.

Hi, it's me again.

I won't be swallowing the pill tomorrow morning. I messed up and ate rice krispies. I did not know that I was supposed to have just clear liquids today. They are going to reschedule me, and frankly, I'm relieved.

My friend was very gracious yesterday. Instead of yelling, she cleaned my kitchen, washed the floor and ran the vacuum. Oh, blessed day.

We talked over strategies that I might use to feel better and be more active. One of them is working my way off Cymbalta. I accidentally went without for a couple weeks and I was extremely nervous, but I had energy. As soon as I got it back in my system, I became lethargic again.

Have any of you taken Cymbalta and what were your experiences?

Oh medications- blah! My gal tried to do six changes at once. You can imagine how that went. I've since put all but two back to where they were. I just tell her and she says ok. :/ she's also suggesting I go elsewhere for meds I've seen her twice. (But I kinda know her from a psych hospital in 2012).
"You're too complicated". Thanks for the update. The LCSW wasn't happy - "so you're basically medicating yourself". Yeah. She scheduled me with their nurse immediately :/ so I see them both Thursday. I wish I had an advocate to help me.

Hi everyone!
I changed to Chrome and now my fonts are all messed up here and I can't tell what my posts are going to look like. Grrrr.

Gus, I have to say you've outdone yourself with the latest flower/bird display. I love it and thank you so much!

I went today and had my MRI on my knee. The people there are so kind and it really helps. I went to the store afterwards and my back is really hurting. It's after 2:00 a.m. and I still can't sleep. Oh well, if that's the worst of my worries, I've got it made.

I found out that at some point I will be fitted with a back brace in the hopes of pushing my discs back in place. If it will help the pain, I'll be glad to wear it.

I am trying to decrease the Cymbalta. It's really hard and I know that my fibro pain is going to worsen. It has to be done though.

Belle got a new squeaky toy today and she is happily snoozing with it.

I haven't posted here in awhile. I haven't felt like I had anything to contribute. I read everyone's posts, just haven't felt like I had anything useful to say.

Gus, the flower/bird pics are awesome.

Jan, I never took Cymbalta. A couple of primary care docs have suggested it. I've discussed it with my pdoc, whose opinion I trust. I would mean stopping some of my psych meds. It took us years to find a cocktail of meds that keeps my depression in check. I'm unwilling to mess with that.

Cake, take care of yourself hon. Think of what they teach on airplanes, you have to put on your own oxygen mask before you can help others. Or, looking at it more cynically, if you end up in the hospital they are going to have to take care of themselves anyway.

Jan~ i think you'll come to love Chrome, it is very reliable and has so many tools and apps,,, if you want to know how to....
also, i think you will love the back brace. i hope it's the soft one, and not the one with stays, like an old fashioned corset~! Medicare paid for mine, as a "durable medical device" (once every 5 yrs).

Thanks you two. *hugs* I hope that the day has started out well for both of you. This has been the best morning I've had in a week with the joint pain only being around a 6 out of 10. So, that is pretty cool. My blood work on the kidneys came back not so great so we are retesting them today and if nothing has changed then I might find myself back in the hospital. It has been 6 weeks since my last stay for kidney failure and I am REALLY hoping that this current abnormality can be dealt with as an outpatient. *fingers crossed*

Not much else is new here. I hope that this post finds everyone having as close to pain free day as possible. *gentle hugs*
