I went to the ear specialist. The infection is gone.
Instead, I've lost so much weight that my dentures don't fit right anymore and I've developed TMJ, which can cause the same pain as a badly infected ear! Dear John! So now, I go back to the dentist.

I took Belle outside this afternoon and the neighborhood kids came over and wanted to pet her. I always hold Belle up because I'm afraid one of them will hurt her. They were gentle with her and let her give them kisses. Belle was thrilled.

Gus, I couldn't figure out how to reply to your comment. Love the lizard pic. Kinda looks like me first thing in the morning.
I like your blog. You are courageous, in my own humble opinion. I look forward to more posts. Thank you!

A Warm Hello to All!

It's been awhile since I've posted here; yet, you have all been on my mind.

Life has been hectic. Like others, I continue to live with chronic pain and depression. Uggh!

I haven't a lot to say tonight; yet, wanted to stop in to catch up on reading and to leave hugs!

I'm going to post about this in my blog, but I wanted to tell you ladies first.

I finally spoke out about the abuse today. A co-worker (female) was expressing doubt about all the woman coming forward after so long. First I tried saying that other's disbelief and internal shame keeps women from saying anything. She continued to express disbelief. I looked her in the eye and said I was one of those women. Told her what happened to me when I was 13 and that I never told anyone because I was told by my family to not talk about it. She backpedaled about it happening to kids. I told her it happened to me as an adult too. There was a time I would've come home and "punished" myself with self injury. Instead I'm proud of myself and pissed at her for blaming victims.

Giving this to myself! -->

Well, I posted about it on my blog. There's a teeny part of my that's scared about telling so much, but the largest part is proud of me for speaking out. Please use self-care if you read the latest addition. The material could be triggery.

Thanks WC.

When I saw my pdoc in December I was falling apart. I told him I have a good life. I've worked hard to have that good life and I'm not going to let monsters from my past steal that from me. I feel empowered by talking about it. I feel like I'm defending my good life.

Rheumy appt finally almost here... March 1st. It's my initial appt for the referral. Kinda scared, but I have a friend coming with me who has RA, so she can help with questions and remembering the stuff he says...

Liz, I am reading what parts of your blog that I can. I am there for you. I think you are very brave and I'm so glad you stood up to that woman!

Gus, the pictures just keep getting better and better! I'm so glad you've run out of patience!

Christina, I hope the pdoc visits help and I'm glad you're seeing someone familiar soon.

WC, good to hear from you.

Child, I hope your visit goes well.

I haven't been around because I'm still trying to adjust to the new anti-depressant and I feel like I'm walking in molassess.
I'm just tired all the time. I sleep some and sit a lot. If I don't improve, I'm going to have to send a message to the pdoc on Thurs.

Belle stole some of my mac and cheese tonight. I heard a noise and caught her. I guess I won't finish those left overs.

There were people pounding on doors and yelling at each other last night at 1:00 a.m. and I grabbed Belle and made her stay on the bed. She was trying to growl and bark at the door. For a tiny creature, she is very brave.

Hi guys I am real sorry I haven't been around. You guys have been on my mind but with the bronchitis etc it's been hard. I also found out this week the there is a lot of damage to my left side of my heart. Damage that can not be fixed. So my shortness of breath was really heart issues and not the bronchitis

Take care everyone and I promise I will post more late

Hugs to all

I've share this in a couple of spots on the PC Site today. Thought I'd share it here, too. I think a lot of each of you and hope it helps someone.

Many of us deal with shame, for various reasons.

Here is a brief TEDTalk on "Listening to Shame," given by Brene Brown:

https://www.ted.com/talks/brene_brow...ening_to_shame

I hope this helps.

Love to All!

Update

Saw my Rheumatologist today , long story short he wants me to try Enbrel , so they are going to see if my insurance will approve it and if so how much it will cost me which probably will take it right off the table.
* sigh*

So rheumatologist office just called my crp blood work from yesterday has improved so less inflammation to what degree I don’t know , so maybe don’t need Enbrel which is good but ... that means no help for the pain maybe ? I dunno gotta wait 3 long weeks to hear what the plan is or lack of a plan I’m so sick of hurting so much every freaking dayThe Fibromyalgia check in thread #4 I need to just accept that it’s never going to go away. I will never have a good day.
