It's just plain demoralizing sometimes, isn't it? Damn!!!
I feel overwhelmed a lot by the pain. Pain has become my "abuser."
I am sorry you deal with this, too.
I hope you find relief sooner rather than later.

((((( Christina and WC ))))) I'm so sorry you are both in so much pain. I hope your Drs can help you. Christina,
can you call your Dr and ask for a move up in your appointment?

Gus, I love those pictures! They are so awesome!!!!!

I am still down and out trying to get used to the new anti-depressant. I stay exhausted and sleep so much that I don't get anything done.

Kiya, I think we are all like ducks: calm on the top of the water, but swimming like crazy underneath.

One thing that I did do was give Belle a bath today. She's so good when I bathe her.

Reduce Stress and Increase Resiliency By Reaching Out:

I had posted this TEDTalk video elsewhere on PC and wanted to make it available to my friends here.

Making Stress Your Friend

"Stress. It makes your heart pound, your breathing quicken and your forehead sweat. But while stress has been made into a public health enemy, new research suggests that stress may only be bad for you if you believe that to be the case. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal urges us to see stress as a positive, and introduces us to an unsung mechanism for stress reduction: reaching out to others."

https://www.ted.com/talks/kelly_mcgo...ss_your_friend

This is a 14 minute TEDTalk video.

Hi Jan!

Thanks for the hugs!

I hope you get used to your med soon. It's such a downer when a med makes us more tired.

(((((( January and Belle ))))))

Love to All!

I’m so down, destroyed and of course my pain is insane.

Between the Rheumatologist deal. Yesterday.

I saw my old Pdoc which was nice to see a familiar face he covers the old place and the new place I go to now. he mentioned my old T of 6 years and said he’s down to just 2 days a week. .... I felt the world caving in .. the woman that did my intake appt at this new place flat out told me he retired ! Flat out effing lie !!!! Why why lie about it , I couldn’t go back to him as the center had met there Medicare limit , I get it I really do.... but why lie ????

I just want to sleep just sleep instead of having so much screaming in my brain.

Why do people lie ? Why the hell lie????

I just can’t understand it.

I had the week from Hades at work last week. I work with troubled teens. It says a lot when the so called professional adults are more trouble to deal with than the kids. Stress and weather change lead to fibro flare. Already stressed, then add the emotional stuff that can come with a flare. I came close to a melt down Wednesday.

I had things I wanted to get done this weekend. Instead I'm too tired and sore to do anything. Am going to have a quiet, hopefully restful, day today, but am annoyed about having to backburner things.

Somebody get some cheese to go with this whine.....

i hope that sad hug from Kiya wasn't for me~! maybe some of you don't know of my new job, feeding the critters. no one pays me but their eyes. i figure i saved about 30 lives this winter, there was no food all summer, no berries,, they were literally too skinny to make it thru the winter.

i started with one little skunk kitten, i figured she had lost her mom, and i'd help her out... the next night she was back with HER kitten~! she was so malnourished she was a midget. they were terrified of me, but didn't threaten, so i kept feeding them. then some of their friends found the 'Salvation Porch'. i didn't mind, i was feeding them dry cat food, which is a good source of protein. but it was going too fast~! that stuff ain't cheap~!

then i found out why it was going so fast,, the little raccoons had found their way to my porch. they were so afraid of humans, that when i peeked out at them, they almost tore the gate off my porch to get out of reach. but a couple would hesitate on the top of the siding, to see what i was up to, they didn't want to loose their place in line~~ they were last year's cubs, and without a mother. one of them was just a tiny thing, a girl with 4 brothers, i figured. the little girl was the most trusting (and daring) of them all,,, but when her brothers left she had to go, or risk getting caught by a dog or coyote all alone...

by the month's end (october), i was the 'go to' eat out in the subdivision~! they each had personalities, and distinctive faces, and i do believe i could tell the males from females , often. they went from being fearful, skinny, 'end -of-the-line'ers to being nice, round survivors. i do believe that everyone i fed survived the winter, but only time will tell. they are just now coming around again after the February cold spell and snowfall; and they are in great shape~! it feels GOOD~

one little story and then i'll stop. about a week ago one of the cats was crouched at the door, i thought he wanted out,, so i open it up, and 'what to my wondering eyes should appear ??' ,, no not santa~ but a HUGE male, glossy, healthy, thick fur, glittering eyes, and fearless. one of the 4 'boys' i'd been feeding. and with him, a tiny cub, clearly ill, breathing thru it's mouth, all hunched over and dry haired.... he had brought 'her' to my house~! if she hadn't eaten that night she would surely have died.

i saw her again yesterday morning just before dawn. again, the cat alerted me, and when i looked out, there she was, unafraid; she had put on several pounds at least, and had decent fur and was breathing well. i figure it was distemper, which must be running rampant thru the parks from so many sickly animals... i think my cats got it, but being strong well-cared-for adults, they only sneezed for a week.

anyway, that's my story and i'm sticking to it ~! i hope you all enjoyed thinking of someone being cared for, for no reason except they are living beings. may we all be so fortunate~!

Wow, Gus! What FUN!
Yes, thank you for feeding them all!

I was feeding rabbits and they became very friendly. I'd watched them year after year. A mom tried to have babies just outside my door. It was fascinating! And fun!

A neighbor heard that I had a lot of rabbits here. He'd quietly "baited" them into humane traps and took them all elsewhere. This is a deadly thing to do to rabbits, as they become disoriented, cannot find "home," etc. It's so deadly it's illegal to relocate wild animals in this state, without the help of the State Wildlife warden. I was very, very sad.

It's such a joy to have the wildlife around!

Thanks so much for sharing about your wildlife!

what a horrid thing to do, rabbits cause almost no harm in human habitats (unlike raccoons). O.O
