Folks, I may vanish for a bit. With the stress of all the "stuff" related to Covid I'm starting to come apart at the seams. A lot of old shyte is getting triggered combined with our moronic governor who wants to open the state back up. A friend and I have started calling him mini-me because he apparently worships the prez. I can't seem to make myself stop obsessively reading the news, then popping into PC to read the news forums. Both are feeding my emotional "stuff" going on. I don't know if I will have the wherewithal to stay away we'll see. Just wanted to let you know if I vanish it doesn't mean anything bad happened, just that I'm using self-care.

Hey all. Didn't vanish like I thought I might. Somehow I found the inner whatever to limit my visits to PC. Am also limiting which forums I visit. So far so good.

That wicked storm that blasted the southeast made it's way here today. Change in pressure triggered a nasty flare.

A sort of funny story from the storm. We've been getting thunder that vibrates the floor and rattles the windows. BG, dog, is terrified of loud noises. I doped him up first thing this morning to help him ride it out. He still laid next to me for a sense of protection. A couple of times when the lightening/thunder were really bad he'd sit up and look at me. I told him he was outta luck 'cuz I was scared too!

Ahhh My one dog is a mess when we get bad storms , hes okay with heavy rain but the first boom in the distance he comes running and all 60-70 lbs comes running and jumps on me and knocks the wind right out of me LOL

I hope your flare goes away quickly

I came here going to post a long rant about people not wearing masks or social distancing. I'm too damned tired and worn out to do it.

Our governor announced his plans to start opening up the state today. They sound rational and thought out, but it feels like I'm missing something. You know when a little nagging voice keeps saying you overlooked something? That's how I'm feeling tonight. This ole lizard is going to continue being a hermit here at the farm and wear a mask and gloves when I go in public.

Christina, you're familiar with the mini-me. What am I missing?

I had to go to town to have my phone session with my T today , afterwards I had to run into Hellmart. Employees wearing masks , Its was busy and I saw 2 people wearing a mask ! Everyone else ? not wearing a mask ! Dragging there kids around the store. What in the hell ??

Everyone acting like not a damn thing is going on. Social distancing ?? No where to be seen. Stupid people !

I was getting so angry..

Your doing everything you can.. I bring home groceries and spray or wipe them down with Lysol.. I’m not buying any fresh fruits or vegetables, too many hands touching it .. eeek!

I have no idea if I’ll ever feel safe going out for a meal, Like do I really want to believe that the 16 yr old guy at the drive through is following strict food contact and social distancing???? Nope !

I don’t wear gloves , germs are going to get on your hands with or with out gloves but the problem is touching your face, that’s how COVID gets around ...eyes nose mouth.. I wear glasses so the mask is just another reminder “ don’t touch your face it” lol

I keep Purell in my trunk , I click for the trunk to open sling all my junk in and Purell my hands arms face too and drop my mask in the trunk.

I do change clothes when I get home.

We are just staying home unless we have have have to go out..I have to see my rheumatologist tomorrow. My husband has two Doctor appts next week.

My daughter went for the COVID antibodies test today so she’s waiting for results.

Who would have thought we would be living through something like this ???! Crazy.

Yes stay home with your furry friends

Saw that big ugly blob of storms on the radar yesterday, @~Christina, and thought of you.

I hope it didn't wreak too much havoc on you!

Christina, are you guys okay?

Oh pfrog, I know what that lady is talking about. There are times I ask people to give me some room because I'm not feeling human.

Allergies are still kicking my butt and triggering asthma. Had to chase the dog across the front pasture this afternoon. I would have happily wrung his neck by the time I caught him expect I was bent over, hands on knees, wheezing like a freight train.

Hey Guys Thanks .....yes we made it through another round, Lost another tree, Huge branch came down and just missed the pasture fence , So I wasn't running new fence today thank god. The branch is gonna need the chain saw but it can wait ... Tonight we got another round of storms, Not nearly as bad but enough for my dog to come fling into my lap again.. probably 70 lbs worth,, Ooooafff ..

Pfrog I LOVE that meme soooooo fitting ... How is the new med doing??? Still helping ? I sure hope so.

Liz, ooooh bad dog..Does he have selective hearing like both of mine do at times??? Brats! Yeah Pollen is terrible, My daughter is struggling also.. Are you on any inhalers? I have to have my rescue inhaler close by..

Gentle hugs

@lizardlady ... Hoping your pup acted with proper penance for putting you through that!

It is helping @~Christina ... A very noticeable difference in flexibility most days.

70 lb. lap dogs! I used to have one of those! Especially when it stormed!

Nope, he was not repentant about his behavior. He is obsessive when on a gopher quest. Nothing else in the world exists as far as he's concerned. Yep, Christina. He becomes selectively deaf.

Pfrog, that's great your new med is working!

BG is determined to catch a crow or cattle egret. I've seen him jump a good 6 feet in the air going after one. They love to torment him, especially the crows. They wander around on the ground taunting him then take off just before he gets to them.
