Kiya, if you are coughing up little green men, is it possible you have a lung infection?
Thanks for this!

I am officially in flare. I accidentally skipped a couple doses of meds and now I'm paying for it. Maybe having the tooth pulled added to it, I don't know.

finally after my 2nd day (3rd pill) of the z-pac, they've reduced to yellow and nose is finally clear. WOOT! moving in the right direction. Still struggling to keep fever below 100, but finally I feel like I'm winning this thing. Maybe i'll even get sleep tonight that would be SO exciting!!!

Jan, I've found that any kind of stress to my body, like having a tooth pulled, causes a flare for me.

There has been a mistake and I am out of my nuerontin which I take for my fibro and my BP. The Dr's office is closed for the holiday and I don't know what I'm going to do. I won't be able to sit or lay down by tonight and my bp will be swinging. Lord, I don't need this and I'm scared. This too, shall pass. This too, shall pass.

Awwwww!!! Sure wish you lived closer!!! I could hand you some! With the mail closed, I can't even mail you some (which of course would be illegal anyway or something, but we watch out for each other). The pharmacy should provide a 3 day emergency supply. Are they also closed?

Nuerontin is a classified drug, so they can't give me any at all. They are very nice at the pharmacy and would give it to me if they could. No, we can't end up going to jail over nuerontin. Thanks for the good thought, anyway.

Can you go to a walk in clinic with your prescription bottle and see if they will write you enough to get you to Monday? Explain your pain and BP is just going to get horrible and then it takes weeks to level back out .. I had to do this once.

I am so sorry Jan, that drug is a class II right ? and you need a special prescription form to get it.

They really tighten up on a lot of drugs this pass October. Some got reclassed. Class II drugs need a DEA form 222. a doctor can not even call in refills, you have to go down there and get the form from the doctor and believe me it's a pain in the butt.

Jan can you call your doctor? Maybe there is something that is a class III that CAN be called in to get you over the hump until Monday. Also I find that Motrin PM helps in between when I can not take a pain med. Also I know it's hot out so turn on your fan and turn on the heating bad. It will help some.

I am really really sorry

I found some! I found it back in a drawer where I had forgotten it. I'm ok. I'm so sorry to concern all of you. Thank you each and every one!

No- nurotin is gabbapentin. Shouldn't have changed status, I shouldn't think. Even my cat got a rx for it! Lol! Just a lower dose than mine.

Since when? :/ I'm confused. Well, really glad you found it. Now I need to go search the med and see- I could have sworn it was another name for gabbapentin. They couldn't have given it to my cat if it were controlled (at the free clinic ). Maybe different states list it differently?

I remember back in 1998, I was in Germany with pneumonia and could not get well. My dad managed to procure a script for me and mail it to me there ! Back in the day...

Effective the beginning of October 2014 a lot of drugs got re classed. My pain meds, muscle relaxers and one of my seizure meds all got reclassed so now I have to go in and get a special form. A doctor can not even call in a refill.

For example I saw the rhemy on Tuesday but I do not need my pain med, muscle relaxer or one of my seizure meds until the 18th. So I have to call on the 14th and let them know when I will be in on the 15th to get the prescription. I don't need to see the doctor just get the prescription. It's a real pain in the butt. My doctor used to be able to call in a refill but she can no longer do that because of the new classification. I have to walk into the pharmacy and drop it off. It sucks.

Jan I am glad you found some.

The reason for the re class is so many people abuse these drugs. It's sad for the ones who really need them the hoops they have to jump though to get what they need. Sometimes it's hard for me to make that extra trip, but I don't have a choice.

Honestly, it's classified here. They wouldn't give me even a couple day's supply. I was horrified. They are so nice to me at the pharmacy. They would have given it to me had they been allowed.

I need to whine. Anyone got some cheese to go with it?

I had to lift my 70 pound Rottie into the truck Tuesday to take him to the vet. Actually I had to lift him in three (!) times. I lifted him in. He fell out. I lifted him in again. Then he jumped out when I got out to open the gate. So lift him back in. The second time I lifted him I felt something pull in my back (I've got a herniated disc between L4 and L5). I though oh-oh at the time, but was focused on getting him to the vet. I put a heat pack on it that night to loosen the tight muscles. I thought it was okay.

Wednesday I did some gentle stretches and again thought it was okay. Wednesday night I reached to pick a t-shirt off the bed and it seized up. Hurts like bloody blue blazes! I know what I need to do for it. I know it will take time for it to calm down again. Been dealing with this shite for over 30 years now so I know what to expect. Still what a pain!

Nope not anymore. They have really cracked down. Some meds if you run out the pharmacy will give you a couple but not anymore when it comes to a controlled drug.

Now I have to go each month to get the physical prescription then take it to the pharmacy. Now if I have someone else picking up my controlled meds I have to call them and let them know and they know me there. I take close to 20 different meds daily. So the staff knows me.

My pharmacy just closed so I am getting used to a new pharmacy and I it's about 20 minutes away.

Liz sorry about your back but I did have to laugh for a minute. You had to lift him 3 times. Good lord.

I hope you feel better and I hope everyone is doing ok. I worked on some towels today. Now I just want to nap.

What a pain about having to pick up the written script. Given where my doctor's office is, where I live and where I work I would be up shite creek if I had to physically pick up my scripts. It's a shame that people who misuse the drugs made life harder for those who truly need them.

Yeah, there's a part of me that thinks having to pick him up three times is funny. I have a warped sense of humor though.

My back is a teeny bit better today. I plan on taking it easy today. Gotta go back to work tomorrow.

How about posting pics of the towels when they are done?

I don't know how to post them here but I did manage to put them in my photo album. I did 2 watermelons some flowers and a mermaid.

Everything was going good then right before the fireworks my stomach started acting up so I stayed inside with the animals.
