have you tried a rice pack? you can either heat them or put them in the freezer. There is also something called a relax wrap that helps.

I alternate heat and then cold. If I find one that works better then I stick with that. This week it's been the heat. My migraines start at the back of my head.

Good luck and I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi - anyone heard of Fibrolief Support Formula? I just found it online and started to get it... but then thought HELLO! Have you even looked into this yet? Are the unwanted side effects Is this a scam? Just because someone SAYS it works, doesn't mean they're honest." But it does have several ingredients in it that I have been given before and DID help with inflammation and pain.... but it is a costly thing for me and would leave me with NO dollars left. "You can cancel at any time" - we've all seen where they said that and it wasn't true.... I won't have any breathing room if I get this supplement.... on the other hand if I could be out of pain I wouldn't be as depressed and wanting to die. Ya know?
I dunno what to do.. "Free trial RIGHT NOW ONLY" Has some warning flags up. Plus they put Morgan Freeman on the article to draw ppl in - but he doesn't advertise or endorse it in anyway... it's these people I've never heard of. ????
(oh and hi everyone )

Kiya.. It's snake oil.. people preying on those of us that are always in pain and just go day by day , hour by hour , minute by minute hoping for help.

If there was something that gave anyone mass amounts of relief , everyone would be on it.. Yes I saw the BS ad with Morgan Freeman.

I will tell you that I refuse to drink or eat anything with artificial sweetners and I also avoid carbs 99% of the time , as I found especially the carbs bog me down and increase my pain. I avoid processed foods.. I try to eat healthy whole foods.

I do take a prenatal vitamin, No I am not preggo, My Doctor just feels its a good all around help to fibro patients.

Im glad you didn't whip out your bank card and order something that probably isn't even tested for safety.

Gentle hugs

Many of the ingredients are actually useful for fibro and I have been on some of them... but they were from my dr. With this, I have no way of knowing if what they use is really pharmaceutical quality and I don't like that they didn't list the fillers or non-active ingredients. Plus, when I looked closer, it said "FREE TWO WEEK SUPPLY" (4 pills a day)... they give only 30 pills in a bottle... that's one week. :/
I know turmeric is good as an anti-inflammatory, as is the (I can't spell it) botswallia or whatever, but I don't know about the rest.

Kiya, I'm glad you're not buying the snake oil. Who knows what's in the fillers of that stuff.

I am achy and cranky today. It rained all day yesterday and it's cold and damp. My warm shirt is too hot and my regular blouse is too cold. A migraine is trying to start. This too, shall pass. This too, shall pass. Right?

Sorry you're hurting. The damp hurts the joints- it's been raining here as well. And I've been eating things with sulphates and nitrates in it which causes inflammation and pain. Still can't figure out this healthy eating thing.
Feel better!

I'm going to have to ask the rhuemy to increase my meds or add something to it. This is so uncomfortable. At least the migraine hasn't come back so far today. I took my Nuerontin 1 1/2 hrs early. I know it won't hurt anything and it might take the edge off the pain. If I can get the cast off on Thurs., and I can drive again, maybe I can get the appt. with the rhuemy moved up from the 20th so she can help me sooner.

Where did all of you go? I miss you.

I go to the bone specialist today to hopefully get my cast boot off. Then I can (A). take a shower! and (B). call the rhuemy about moving up my appt.! Oh, happy day!

Were you able to get rid of the boot? That first shower after not being able to take one due to an injury is heaven!

I haven't been on line much the last few days. I'm hurting and exhausted. I come home and crash on the sofa every night.

I was able to get rid of the boot except for uneven ground. I still have a fracture line. The Dr. was puzzled over that. I go back in a month.

I didn't get to take my shower. I fell yesterday and was afraid to get in the shower.
I'm going to try again today. I had a horribly painful night. This too, shall pass. It just has to pass.

Today I have to go out and see if I can push the pedals on the van. The Dr. told me to do it that way. I'm on my own now and I have to be somewhere tomorrow, so I'd better be able to drive and I'm wary - stubborn, but wary.

Liz, I took my shower last night and stayed in there until almost all the hot water was gone. I soaked my foot and ankle really well and it was all divine!

I hope you feel better. Have you called the Dr? Maybe you should. Feel better, my friend.

Jan, no point in calling the doc. There's nothing they can do that I don't already know I should be doing. What I should do is curl up on the sofa and rest. What I'm actually going to do is drive halfway across the state to attend my father-in-law's funeral.

I was beat when I got home last night. Four hours of driving and the emotional toll of the day and I'd had it. Called a friend of mine to talk to on the drive home to make sure I stayed awake. I'm taking it easy today.

The house is a pigsty. There are at least a million things that need to be done around the house and farm. I'm only doing what I feel able to today. Have spent hours fooling around online. Plan to spend some time making jewelry. Time to take care of myself today.

Pushed it too hard jog/walking yesterday and a flare set in. First time in months. I was trying to be so gentle with myself exercising, but I wanted to increase my time jogging and increase my pace and my guess is I increased my pace too much.

So now I have a full day ahead of me and will have to forge ahead with this pain and fatigue. I guess I should be grateful that I only have occasional flares and don't have to suffer regularly like I know many of you do.

Take care, all.

Got a new doctor now that I've moved back to my home town. She gave me a referral to a rheumatologist and I called to book an appointment and the next available date is December 16th.
So now I have to wait ages to go see someone, that from everything I've read won't be able to actually do anything helpful anyway.

I am not feeling so hot. Between the neck/shoulder/back pain and the beginning of physical therapy for the c8 neck impingement (traction on my neck), and my (TMI) tonsils that have pockets that food lodges in and starts to decompose ("You're too old at 38 to have your tonsils out"), I'm feeling pretty spiffy. :/
I also happen to be long-term borrowing a down pillow from my mom... turns out I am allergic to down. Sigh. But what I thought was just those things alone may actually be a cold brewing. Meh. I don't have time for this. Drinking tea and working to fight this off.
I suppose some backsliding is to be expected in PT. but OMG the pain has me near tears and I can't take heavy duty pain meds with the psych meds I'm on.
Sorry to be so cheery

I'm really sorry for all the pain and issues ya'll are having. I'm with you and like you, we just have to keep moving forward as best we can. It is nice though to have a place we can come and let it all out and be heard and understood. That, in and of itself helps me....I hope it helps all of you as well.

I know they say that mild exercise and moving is good for you and supposedly helps with the fibro pain, I've found that it does help for a time, but that I will pay for pushing myself to move and do things sometime down the road. It's like there is always a payback for doing what's supposedly the right thing to do.

But, we have to live life, we have to make choices, we have to deal with the pain, the brain fog, the fatigue. I think that tells us just how strong we all are and how determined we are to make our lives work for us. I have the utmost respect for all of you who deal with this nasty fibro thing yet keep going and doing what you need to do. Ya'll rock in my book!

They do and they put me on it but told me I probably wouldn't get in any sooner because so many people are on the list.

Went back to my dr because I had to get results for chest X-rays and let her know how long it would be and she's going to see if there is anyone else sort of near by, and if not I might have to travel 4 hours to get to see someone sooner. Effing rural towns.
