Oh Peaches!

Well, I don't know what you're feeling in this momemnt, as in what circumstances brought you to feeling that way, but I do know that even though I don't know you personally I already care about you.

I've felt a similar way plenty of times and its a pain inside that people who have not just can not imagine. But things do get better and life suprises you. And just when you think theres nothing more worth living for, taking a second to look around and evaluate shows you that there actually is. I've found that thinking of past pleasant memories helps me remember that even despite the struggle there has been some kind of positive experience I have and whose to say I won't have another. I can promise you if you kill yourself, you will never have another good experience. That I know for sure.

I was feeling a similar way recently and stumbled upon this website from someone else who cares, you may be interested in reading it. I'm not saying that it will 100% solve the problem (thats not realistic) but it did bring a little perspective to me. I believe that suicide is a personal choice and no one should tell you to do it or not to do it - because no one can live your life for you but you. And i'm not going to lie and say it'll all get better with a good nights rest and tomorrow the sun will come out and all that jazz. But I know that things do eventually get better. And sometimes it takes so so so long to see the light, but it eventually appears and when it does it is so well worth it.

I'll be praying for peace for you.

Have you considered calling a hotline? It is anonymous and free. I worked on one before and I know they are well-trained. Plus they are used to suicidal thoughts so they don't get freaked out by that. It can be helpful to talk to someone who has a clue.

Thank you so much for the virtual hugs, replies and concern. That is why I like PC so much. People here take me seriously.

My suicidal thoughts have subsided for the time being. Thanks to you guys. I hope it will not come back anytime soon. Overwhelming things happened, and it made me break down.

archipelago: No i've never even considered it, because i have never heard of one. I'm not even sure if there are any in my country. Perhaps I could try it when i have another meltdown. Thanks for the suggestion, it would help to talk to someone about it and who isn't judgmental and accusatory, and I'll try to look for other alternatives if there aren't any.

The samaritans is meant to be a good hotline.

If Christmas starts to hurt, we?ll be here | Samaritans

I used to have the number saved in my phone but I never actually called it in the end, maybe I should have given it a chance at my darkest times.

Also there is a charity based in London, I don't know where abouts you are but they specialise in suicidal people and offer a 5 night stay. You get a few phonecalls and stuff while you are being assessed and they are really nice and supportive.

Its called Maytree.

I'm glad the thoughts have subsided, but if they come back I hope these can help you

I am glad that some of the feelings and thoughts are starting to subside. I didn't realize you were not in the US, my mistake for not paying attention. Here there are national and regional hotlines, some for suicide prevention and some for crisis.

It seems like secret whisper has found out some places to call. Remember that you don't have to give out personal info. You can use a false name and not give your address or anything else out. They tend, at least here, to not want to have others intervene so it is usually possible to talk about this type of thing and get some relief.

Hey Peachcream. Yeah i get suicidal thoughts bubbling up sometimes too. Usually at christmas. Last year i stayed at Maytree just after Christmas ( you can stay for 4 nights). They assess you first so i would contact them if you get frequent suicidal thoughts. They are lovely and you do feel as though you are in a little, safe cocoon there and you you can stay in and talk or you can come and go as you want. So wherever you are in the country i would say phone them, initialise contact and take it from there. I've noticed the thoughts bulding up again this year but my tactic this time is to promise to treat myself to something in the New Year something really special that is worth staying alive for ( in my case a special holiday) so hopefully that will.....well help. People on here really do care and have been through similar things so you're not alone. You can ask me about Maytree and i will do my best to answer. Think about it though.
Thanks for this!
