I have been dealing with some seriour depression for some couple weeks, I'm scared, I'm overthinking everything. I cannot sleep. I don't think I can recover from this state. I lost everything, my selfrespect, my selfsteem, my faith, my strength, my everything. Every feeling is hurting me in this moment. I haven't felt like this ever. I showed how I feel to the people I know and just one stood there beside me. The others reacted bad, or just didn't say anything. I feel frightened, and now I'm scared of everything. I feel anxious, I feel chills, I need help, I haven't felt this low in my entire life. If someone know how to handle this inmediately I will be thankfull. I just want to sit down in the floor in this moment, and just continue falling down. What could I do? I wish someone help me... I feel desperate, and I don't want this anymore.

I am so sorry you are going through this and I see myself in what you're writing.

I would suggest you see a therapist immediately as they will listen to your concerns without judging you and you can work a way out of this slope you're in. When making an appointment, make sure to tell the therapist it's quite an urgent matter.
Maybe seeing a doctor (general or psychiatrist) would be helpful; depending on how well the therapy goes you might need medication for this anxiety you describe but I would definitely try it with a therapy first.

If the thoughts become unbearable and you think of harming yourself or doing other dangerous things, please to go the nearest ER. They will know how to give you relief and professionnally help you out of this dark place.

You shouldn't let this drag on, as it may only become worse. Please stay strong, you can get out of this and you're definitely not alone.

My heart goes out to you, mewtwojunior. I know the feelings and thoughts you are describing, and would go with what smartiesparty recommended.

In the meantime, know that you are not alone, many people have these times in their lives and I certainly know that I have been in a dark place for a couple of times. Sometimes people don't know how to react to a depressed person and that makes it worse for us. Reading articles here on PC has helped me, for example this one: 9 Ways to Practice Self-Compassion When You Have Depression | World of Psychology

Breathing exercises (tutorials can be found on youtube f.ex.) have helped me a lot with my anxiety. Otherwise, if it helps you to sit on the floor and sit still, feeling the floor being solid beneath you, do that and breathe evenly. If you feel trapped inside or have a suffocating feeling, go for a little walk and count your steps, observe your environment, the air, the trees, whatever is there to keep your mind off the troubles for a little while.

Big warm comfort hug, and I hope this will soon get better for you. Yiu can get out of this, even though it seems impossible at these times. That's what makes depression so awful, but there is certainly hope and people who understand

Seek help - your family doctor will get the ball rolling.

Follow the advice above like the deep breathing.

What I want to add is to tell you to try and ground yourself. Breathing helps but there are more concrete ways to do this too.

My favourite is using something tactile to center yourself and bring down anxiety and concentrate on less depressing thoughts. When I say tactile, I mean a physical object with a unique feeling to your touch. A small pebble or rock, a feather, a swatch of fabric, ab broken peice of potter, a scarf. This should always be the same oject, one which when your eyes are closed you know be feel every part, every nuance.

I have a rock with a peice of broken shell stuck to it. By closing my eyes and rubbing the rock I can bring myself down from anxiety or find some confort when I feel depressed.

It's obviously not a permanent fix but it really helps me during the worse moments

You will recover yourself. You've gotten some good advice. Do your best to follow some
of the suggestions.
As from my own experience I'll say I have had that feeling many times . I needed a lot of
help. Professional help. Sometimes even a hospital if necessary. Talking about it to whoever would listen , even to those who wouldn't. Trying all different kinds of meds.
I could not WILL my depression away like everybody else thought I should be able to.
Now I'm not just talking about the occasional blues that last a short time and people can get out of.

My depression doesn't end. I just try and deal with it. And keep telling myself that
someday it will all end.

Hope you get better, and yes I'm trying my best to recover myself. I just understand I cannot change anything. I feel like this, and even that I don't want to, I can't change it. It's not what I want but well its happening. Maybe is like running away from my emotions, but I'm like locking off my emotions, so they don't bother anymore. It may not be the best solution, but its the best thing I could think in this moment. I lock them believing I could take care of my hurt in the future, in therapy or in some other way. I feel that this is hiddind, but I don't feel that strong to handle them.

I'm so sorry. Are you on any drugs? This sounds like it might be some sort of chemical reaction to me. Some chemicals affect some people's brain chemistry very adversely. If you started or stopped something recently, this could be caused by it. (If you withdrew too fast, for example, or if you're just having a toxic reaction to that drug introduced to your system.)

Just a thought. Otherwise, did something trigger this for you? You don't mention anything happening to cause the feelings. I hope you can get some kind of help for it as soon as possible. My thoughts are with you.

I would also be interested (if you want to share) what caused your feelings. Share if you like, but no pressure at all.

Thanks for all your support. I have connected with my deepest emotions, with some help. I didn't felt happiness or anything like that at all, I felt my grieving, my pain, and how I've been feeling inside for all this years. But even that it wasn't happiness what I felt, at the end I was happy to know how I really felt inside of me. For the first time ever I have been able to feel from the inside. That really explained to me what I want to find from the inside of my mind or hearth.
