@Mountaindewed how do you like your noise cancelling headphones? Do they actually block out noise? I'd like to get a pair.

I'm coping by journaling but it's not helping completely. I still feel bad and I'm worried and upset.

@WovenGalaxy They are pretty good. I can still hear some sounds when they are close but only when I pay attention but the sounds are muffled. If I have them on and I’m reading then I can ignore everything.

I have gotten so much reading done by wearing them.

There are better brands out there but I got the Snug brand for $17. They are made especially for people with autism instead of like the hunting noise cancelling ones.

Not all that well. I feel like I'm brooding over everything and that I wish I could just fix all that's wrong. I'm also starting to ask when will I be in a better mood again.

@Mountaindewed thank you! Theres some at Target, I saw. They're expensive, like 200 and up. I know SONY was one of the brands. I'm still looking into it but I think its a good idea for me bc of apartment living. I did try on a pair before, two separate times. The first time it was a whole new world, the second time, same pair, I heard noise outside but I was also looking for it. I'll look into snug too.

I did at one point get the ear device Calm by Flare. For ppl with hearing sensitivities. But they were kind of loose in my ears. And made them itch. Money wasted. Though I have the option of returning them, I'm not up to the process through the mail.

Thanks again for your reply.

I also had some noise cancelling ear plugs called Vibe. Now those were amazing. They were small and super discreet. I could sleep with them on. They were $30 though and I lost my pair while moving and I can’t find them anywhere. Maybe I’ll ask for another pair for Christmas.

Went on a 10 day vacation where my entire FOO met. I was wonderful. I didn't take a laptop, etc. and have been busy since returning. With school starting for one of my family members, the running joke at her school last year was the Schitt's Creek skitt below, I have never seen Schitt's Creek (we don't have cable) but found the short blurb (it is only 46 sec) below hilarious:

I’m coping ok. Last night was a mess though. But today my visible moods and my anxiety were in check. I silently was freaking out several times but just to myself. I haven’t dwelled on my transference T in days. I keep thinking I’m making progress with that. Slow progress but progress. I think a lot about my current T but not for transference reasons. I’m sleeping better too. I have severely limited how much news I watch. Even The Today Show I haven’t been watching much of. It was one of my therapy homework assignments for the week along with find a water bottle and figure out how I can go from 0 to 60 immediately. I figured out/did all that stuff.

I did ok today. I controlled my frustration in therapy. I only let out a bit of frustration when she told me masks don’t work. I’m pretty sure she’s a closet phobe Jesus freak based on her questions and comments and then not giving me any feedback when I answer. She also does this weird thing where I give her an answer and she repeats the answer back to me. But in a strange way. Part of me thinks I’m just being gaslighted. But not like intentionally. I think she just doesn’t get me.

But before that I was ok. My Stephen King book I was reading around 11 was crossing my boundaries and giving me the creeps so I put it down.

I did end up having to take all my Geodon and melatonin at one time since I was off schedule today. I feel ok and I took it an hour ago.

I guess I’m doing ok. My anxiety is high. I think my smoothie had something in it that interfered with something I’m taking. That happened with a particular brand of tea that had the herb kava in it. I was completely fine before the smoothie. Then after it wasn’t good. Then in my excitement of finding it I drank a 20oz Mountain Dew. I haven’t exactly had a lot of food today but I feel like I’m managing ok. Especially with everything I have going on and dealing with a useless therapist. I didn’t even know she could be anymore useless until I got an email from her today. I’m trying not to worry about her too much because I am being switched to someone else soon that she knows and thinks will work well with me. And I do trust her on that part.

But basically the early morning was ok. Then the smoothie happened and my anxiety got bad. Now I’m about to take one of my meds and hope I don’t get hungry.

I have been feeling down in the past few days because of the emotional abuse I had been through with my sister.

I'm coping by using this forum, playing video games, and listening to podcasts. And taking a 10-day break from what is stressing me out (school stuff).

After I put my book down my anxiety lessened. If I wasn’t so particular about finishing books I’d give up on it. But I only have about 200 pages of it left. But my cramps started up again this afternoon and they hurt like hell right now. I took Tylenol around 11. So I think I can take more now. I’m nervous about October 1st but this pain ****ing sucks.

I've been doing a variety of little things. I looked at some adorable pictures of birds on the internet. Plovers are so cute!!
