The title says it all. feel anxious like I want to crawl out of my skin. I know I'm' going down. I think exercise would help, maybe not a complete fix, but a big help. Just can't make myself do it.

The plan is to exercise in 20 minutes to get things out of my system. I'll let u know how I feel later.

So it's more like an anxious feeling than a classic depressive/dysthymic feeling? Any ideas what's causing it?

Yes, please do.

I have heard that many T's and PDocs prescribe exercise for anxiety. I know it's hard to motivate yourself sometimes, but I am sure it will help you feel better. Hopefully get some of that nervous energy out. Let us know how it goes!

Hey Rohag,
Yeah I know. The piece I didn't tell yall was that a few weeks ago I decided to taper off my meds. BAD IDEA AS USUAL. So I started increasing the dosage today. I'll be feeling better soon. Although I've dealt with this ***** for 25 years, sometimes I still don't want to be on meds. so I try to wean. It's pretty much always been a mistake, yet I keep thinking it'll be different. Atleast I didn't let myself go completely to the bottom of the hill and be on no meds. but it still sucks.

Talking about stuff on PC is helping me. Thank you for asking.

Wow, well done for finding the motivation to exercise! I'm pleased to hear it did cheer you up a little. What kind of exercise did you do? I need to start exercising again, it's true it improves your mood. I like to go for walks (but hurt my back badly a couple weeks ago and have not done anything since). Keep up the good work, hope your mood continues to improve x

Walking is the bestest--I love to go for walks--helps alot with the anxiety, and with depression also--I have DJD--so, for my back i do yoga--mindful of every stretch and flex I do----feeling my outsides relax and go through the pain---excellent to keep up flexibility----theo
Thanks for this!

see, this is stigmatism at work, not wanting to take the meds. You think there is something wrong with taking psychological meds. If you had to take medicine for your heart it'd be completely different. Hm.

Glad you had the discipline to force yourself to exercise.
