Hi,
I'm new here.
I'm really frustrated. My problem is with anger. My anger drives people away and my driving people away makes me more angry. It's a vicious cycle I'm trying to break.
I'm angry about a past I cannot change. Child abuse and post divorce absence from a father who's now dead. I'm angry about a mother who won't let me feel the past's pain because she ends up making me feel guilty about bringing it up and hurting HER. I'm angry about a mother who's worshiping her oldest daughter and that oldest daughter being one of the most uncompassionate and manipulating people I know. I'm angry about being the youngest daugter of five children (4 girls+1 boy). I'm angry because I'm the only one from the family who'll seek therapy/counsling due to a very dysfunctional past. And last-at least for now-I'm angry because I act like a jack *** due to a very low self esteem. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. <jackass growling.
*SIGH* Okay, I feel better now. Thanks for letting me vent.

Jax: it's okay to vent here. (i know what you are talking about...my mom was the same way.)

i'm so glad that you're getting therapy for yourself and i hope you continue working on yourself. you can't change your mom or your sister. and i'm sure you know that. but we can always work on our perceptions and our reality of our life experiences. good luck, pat

I commend you for getting the help you need right now. A lot of people want to just sweep the past under the rug and forget about it, not realizing that it all comes out in one way or another.

Welcome to the forums...I hope you find the support you need here. I know I have. Please feel free to post anything...Good luck.
