I have recently posted a forum describing my relationship with my boyfriend and how i think something was seriously wrong you can read my forum if you scroll down the forum depression page. I have worked out that all the trauma at home and out of home i have experienced through the last couple of years has really effected me and i really need to sort my head out. However it doesn't make the pain go away, still convinced my boyfriend maybe cheating on me or met someone else, still being extremely irritated by my parents however nice they are to me. I cannot forgive any of these people for hurting me in the past and maybe thats what needs to happen for me to become happier what do you all think?

Hi Emma,
Have you ever done any counseling or therapy? A good therapist can really help in giving you the tools you need to learn to let go of your anger. Anger is our strongest emotion, and therefore is the most devastating to us mentally. It doesn't mean you don't have the right to be angry, but when it affects you negatively like this, then you have to deal with it before it eats you alive. I don't think you have to forgive the people in your life for what they've done, but you do need to change how you react to it. It's a matter of your survival, and you're the one that counts. I hope you can work this out, and please keep coming back to see us. It's a very supportive group here. bptoo "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." |
