Mornings are the worst for me. Do others feel that way? Today, I got out of bed after roughly 4-5 hours of sleep (just started an AD). Friends talked me into going for a 30 power walk and I did that. Felt pretty good. Came home and read for a while (I'm on sick leave from work right now) and then started 3 loads of laundry.
After that, I went to the gym and did a 50 minute circuit training class. I've been experiencing the tingling and numbness from anxiety and haven't had that for 2 days and today it came back! Why, if I've kept myself so busy all day, would it come back again? The sensations then make me more anxious! My friends tell me that they see a change in me for the better but I'm feeling so sad and alone tonight. I always anticipate bedtime and how I can't sleep and it makes things worse. Thank goodness I don't have to get up for work right now because I would be a basket case. Sorry, I'm rambling but my mood seems to be jumping around all over the place today. Is that normal? |

I totally understand your change in feeling both anxiety and sadness. WHat usually helps with the anxiety sometimes for me is to get little scraps of paper and a empty cup. I make myself write at least 5 or 6 short phrases of things that come to my mind that im worried about and then place them in the cup. If I'm too overwhelmed at the end. I'll leave it alone, but if not, I'll take each one out and read it again. Wierd thing is sometimes Im surprised that I wrote it. And then I might journal about one that really sticks out. best wishes |

Thank for being here. That is a great idea and I'll try it tonight. Right now, I think the loneliness has an edge over the anxiousness but they are running head to head. |

OnEdge - reading your post I wondered if I wrote it and forgot! I experience these things too except that my exercise is only for 30 minutes. I am working and find it very hard to get through the day sometimes. Particularly when my moods won't stand still and my thoughts run rampant! I also fully agree that the sensations of impending anxiety simply bring on more anxiety!
I hope you are feeling a little better today. Esthersvirtue - love your suggestion - I am going to try it out.

Well, it's now morning and I had a TERRIBLE night. I hardly slept at all and I feel just awful. I'm shaky and anxious and feel the the world is caving in on me. I just took .5 mg of Ativan and will take my AD shortly.
To make matters worse, there is a full-blown snowstorm happening outside and it's very dreary. I just want to feel good again...all I have is a sick feeling in my pit of my stomach.... |

Oh No! I feel so bad for you. I wish there was a way to make it go away and a way to help you feel better.
(((OnEdge))) - that's about all I can do for now.

She won't give me anything for sleep. She's weaning me off Ativan. I'm hoping once the Effexor kicks in, I will start to sleep better and FEEL better. Thanks for the post.
