Lol. That is totally weird. I can't believe that you could sleep for 19 hours on a regular basis. I mean I slept for 25 hours once but only because I had a bout with insomnia for the 2 weeks prior to that.

How am I? Not to good. Having quite the crappy day.

Was that from pills or what?

As for me I am really worried and afraid to talk to my friend tonight. He's calling me back and I am going to ask him to take me to a clinic and hook me up one anti depressants again. I have said that I am totally against them but that is because they worked too well and I hated the new feeling and not being able to think all the time. It's hard for me to talk to people about depression and anti deps and stuff with people. Makes things really awkward. So I am just really worried.

Well it's understandable that it would be a new feeling and might be uncomfortable for a while. My therapist always said it was like new shoes - they're uncomfortable at first but that doesn't mean you want to walk around in your old ones forever. Different doesn't always mean bad. I think it's really great that you've had the courage to ask someone for help. And if pills worked for you before then you should know which ones work for you, which can take a bit of trial and error. Good luck with it all.

New shoes uncomfortable? Hardly. I guess it depends on the type of shoes you are buying because I buy skater shoes and they are incredibly soft and nice when you first buy em hehe.

Different may not be bad but it felt bad. I didn't like how good I was feeling and I felt like I had lost all my talents as far as writing goes. I think that is why this time I have decided to have someone to force me or to keep me accountable for taking them until I am on it long enough to get used to it.

make sure you tell the doctor about that too when you see him. i don't think it has to necessarily be so different that it effects your writing or other talents. most important is to not feel so bad anymore... but maybe they can find something that is effective for the depression that doesn't have such a strong effect on other things as well.

were you in therapy along with the meds last time? because therapy might help you understand some of the triggers for your depression and help you cope better. That way you wouldn't necessarily be as dependant on the meds. not that you should ever treat them as "optional" but if you were to feel like the therapy was helping you could talk to the doctor about reducing the dose or something.

good luck and like i said make sure you talk to the doc about this stuff. the best miracle medicine in the world isn't an effective treatment if it is something you can't keep taking as prescribed

Yeah I did therapy. Drugs are as far as I am going to go with regards to professional help. I am surprised that I am even willing to do this. Therapy is a closed option though I hate talking to people I don't know as well as talking about depression its just awkward.

Sad to say, I really do not have much of a life, maybe that is why I am here and still awake. . . becomes "me" time, that is what my pdoc and therapist say, "you need time for yourself, you are a caregiver to a mom with dementia and health issues, housewife, mom, taxi (100 miles on an average day), and an errand girl Oh well, maybe I can whine myself to sleep, ha!ha! and not others, I can bore an insomnia to sleep, LOL anyone awake?

I am still awake, but I know I'll be dragging later this morning
Maybe I need storytime, with my sons old children's story books, some were such beautiful stories with lovely illustrations, Polar Express, The Mitten, Stellaluna, etc.
Enough of that, I got lost in a moment.
Have a good evening, everyone here tonite or should I say good morning?

Well 5 minutes to midnight here. I realized when you said "Polar Express" that I read that way back in grade 1 or 2. The cover is like a black train in the night right? Cool book and for sure very good illustrations. The mitten sounds farmiliar. You couldn't go to sleep?

Now I will, yes Polar Express had that cover, the film was nice too. The Mitten I thin was either written or illustrated by Jan Brett, not sure another name comes to mind though.
Take care now
