Lately i've been comparing some of the things i eat to the "normal" routines of others as well as what i used to do etc. I noticed that if i make myself eat one meal i try to make it count (health wise) so I end up eating a lot. For instance tonight i had grilled cheese, onion rings, and an ice cream dessert. I also had an ice cream cone earlier in the day...and that's it. To my stomach this feels like the ultimate binge..so much sugar..so many calories...but isn't a "binge" consitutued by an amount much larger than "normal"???? Wouldn't that amount be "normal/less than normal" in the context of the average daily diet?

Opinions...is a binge more dependent upon individual mentality or tangible quanitity? Am I just telling myself that such instances are not binges so I don't feel guilty?

I think you may have answered your own questions; however to be clear...Menntally for you as you have been heavily restricting.

"make it count (healthwise)" - the meal you describe probably doesn't fit this comment - a nutrionalist could probably create healthy food plan that includes eating the correct calories for your body and eating three times a day.

yeah I'm sure a nutritionist would have a hay-day with my diet...heh. My definition of "healthy" seems to have diverged itself to mean more calories rather than actual nutrition I think...hmmm.

Maybe...

I won't describe my "healthy" meal and beverage from last night...not pretty.

Well that is why N's are there to work on the nutrition part...

hallo there.
i feel the same way. to me a small dish of ice cream would constitute as binging because it is so incredibly unhealthy for me therefore resulting in some sort of purge. my guilt is what defines binging.

when i eat legitimately healthy food i do not feel this guilt. try it out. its a good starting point i suppose.
