Zumba'ed today and it felt great to really get moving again. Shoulder took it pretty well.

Weighed in and lost 8 lbs. Sickness or health, will take it.

Hope everyone's routine's and food choices are going well. Here's to moving! Cheers!

Please do join in, and welcome! It is place to talk about what you have been able to do or even on slow days when not up to much, or even to find motivation as you work towards your fitness and health goals. I have not been able to much lately but reading the thread even had helped me to keep trying. Use it as it works best for you. Glad to see you here; I hope it will be of help.

Went swimming last night and I have a meeting this morning with my dietician.
I have a good 24 hours. I 'll go for 48 hours of healthy food and exercise... I'll let you know how it goes.
I have great rest of the week.
Thanks for this!

I started agility training with dog the last two weeks and did not realize how much this would affect me. Besides sore muscles, the bonus has been weight loss in addition to loving being outside. Excited for this change in the routine.

Today goals: hike on the trail with the dog and Zumba

Goal for today: Zumba, walking with the dogs, and to hit the scale.

Wet back to the Aikido class, stayed away from that guy though who was there again and partnered with someone else. It went well and am already feeling the effects, but so enjoyed it!

Goal today: hike with the dogs (yes plural now, new addition, 15 week old Lab/Australian Shepard mix) then to lie low and recover.

Went climbing yesterday, was so excited that it went well. Today, not so excited and know exactly how out of shape have been not doing it in awhile; SO feeling the effects. Glad did it though, the views at the top were amazing.

Today's goals: take it easier with walks with the dogs, and warm soaks to recover. Only climbing the stairs is in the immediate future.

I have been down and out from surgery but have permission to start back with low impact exercises. I started back with walking yesterday and it was so hard. The accomplishment was nice but was so worn out. I have to take it slow but am worried about following through with this despite knowing how important it is. It was pretty rough, the most unnatural thing in the world to be doing.

I signed up for a beginning yoga class day after tomorrow at a new place in town. Any tips for starting with yoga or in what do you do to get motivated to exercise again would really be appreciated!

Hope your exercise routines are going well on your road to fitness!

It turns out the yoga was more difficult in some ways than I expected but that is due to the surgery and the gal was not helpful. If I couldn't do some of the the things, she told me I was being a "wuss" (Sp?). Did not appreciate this as it felt like something was tearing with the one move, so I stopped and she yelled at me, again. Still healing so I did what I could and have decided to try another place who is more interested in helping back to health than being so derogatory.

I have been walking everyday, and am able to go a little further now, and the dogs sure appreciate it. The incision has healed enough that the doc gave me permission yesterday to start swimming. I hope that will help, especially with feeling so blah and frumpy. I hate moving right now but know I need too. Wish me luck.

Hope all is well with your getting out there and getting moving!!! Good luck with your goals!

Worked up the courage to try a new yoga place. It went so much better as the fellow asked me questions about why I wanted to start and explained about my health and the surgery. He then proceeded to help me modify some of the poses or showed me things that would be better to do instead as I heal but could still participate. What a difference! He suggested just starting out with once a week for a few weeks to build into it. So that is the new plan.

Meanwhile....
Goal for this week is to get to the gym to swim at least once a week.
Goal for today is walk a little further.

Going to try to keep moving as hard as it is.
Good luck with your fitness goals!
