An absolutely blissful restorative yoga session, 60 mins. I took note of the exercises to try to do them at home on my own.

I ate about 2,890 calories yesterday, and I lost weight. I don't know if I should be concerned or not. I threw up a lot though. My stomach is fairly calm today and I've only had 430 calories so far out of my 1240.

I've taken short walks (about 7 minutes) each of the last 2 days, and I'm planning to do the same today. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but I've lived a very sedentary existence for the past couple of years and so I am disturbingly out of shape. So my goal is to do this 7 min. walk every day for a week then up it a bit to around 10 min. I'm planning to check in on how I'm doing both for accountability and to track my progress. My main goal is to be able to walk first, to one of my job sites, and then to another of my job sites that's a little farther away.

There is a YouTube channel that has the trainer’s mother working out along with her. The routines are meant for seniors and/or beginners. I fit both categories. Not only am I out of condition, but I’m close enough to being their definition of “senior.” If I can’t do the exercises the daughter’s way, I can certainly do them the mother’s way.

I am finding that the best workouts for me are the ones I can complete—but barely. There has to be a challenge in order to get any benefit.

I have a message to my doctor about starting Golo. I looked online and the price is decent. I'll see what he says. I trust this guy. More then my other doctors.

I walked a lot today, albeit at a slow pace. Part of that walking was done when wearing a backpack or a weighted vest. I also climbed stairs today.

Went to Orangetheory for the first time since spraining my ankle 2+ weeks ago. The ankle is almost fine now. I went for the treadmill only class but did not push myself, in part because of the healing ankle and in part because I was having a low grade migraine. The migraine actually improved due to HIITs. It was quite amazing.

I forgot my HR monitor and do not know my HR stats from this workout, but based on RPE and getting sweaty and flushed in the face, I worked hard enough.

Next class is on Friday and I will be sure to take my HR monitor with me.

The GOLO isn't working. It's been about a month, and I am back and forth fighting with the same two pounds. Just up two pounds, down two pounds, back and forth for a whole month. This feels so impossible. I can't take a lot of the GOLO because of how drastically it lowers your blood sugar - after taking one pill with a meal I am literally passed out for an hour - you just can't live this way, especially if you're diabetic. My doctor had warned against this and I didn't listen. Lesson learned.

My gym partner has been flaking the past couple of weeks. Just cancelling on me, etc. Starting to get sick of it, so I really have to look into trying to push myself to go on my own. I miss dancing so much; I really need to start trying to move my body slowly in a way where I can work up a sweat. There are some classes I can take at the YMCA, but they are kind of advanced. I lasted 20 minutes at Line Dancing last time I tried.

Anyway, rethinking my strategy. Counting calories doesn't work either because again, the scale just hasn't moved at all even though I have been working really hard at it for a while now. The only way to lose the weight is to really sweat it off - or just eat a lot of protein. I will figure out a way. Will keep posting for accountability as I navigate through this.

I've had 1,350 calories, 182 carbs, and 42 grams of protein today. My stomach is all over the place. I've only thrown up a couple times though.

Had a really good workout at Orangetheory fitness. Although I accumulated only 10 and not the recommended minimum 12 splat points, I felt great subjectively.

First, 14 mins of rowing. About 1800 meters.

Then, floor exercises for strength.

Then, treadmill and that is where I got my 10 spat oiubts.

Finally, a couple of stretches.

14 blue mins
27 green mins
10 orange mins

119 avg hr
146 peak hr

324 calories
