Well…. How is everyone doing with the exercise thing?

I had my therapy assessment the other day and one of the things we discussed was my lack of motivation/loss of confidence with exercise….

I’m thinking about restarting couch to 5k. But it’s like I’m resisting myself somehow…. I’ll see what happens tomorrow. I heard about people sleeping in their running gear but that sounds kind of sweaty.

I suck at exercising. I'm trying to do everything just by eating less and better, and taking vitamins until I can get to a point where I can work out.

I finally opened a box of oatmeal I've been stareing at for awhile. I really don't have too much unhealthy food anymore besides some stuff in my freezer.

I slept in my work clothes one time when I was worried about oversleeping. I took a shower the night before and got in my work clothes and then I woke up 5 minutes before I had to leave and I just brushed my teeth and put on my shoes and jacket and I was good to go

Yes, I’ve been doing better with my intake too. That’s got to be positive.

I haven’t exercised in over 6 months (other than walking) and think I’ve lost a lot of muscle tone. I started couch to 5k yesterday, in the past when I’ve done it I’ve always started further in the program because my base fitness was reasonable but this time I started from the very beginning thinking of it was easy I could skip ahead a few weeks - nope! It was quite challenging, in that my legs just felt tired, and this was just 60 second long runs so nothing really. It’s 9 weeks to complete the program.

I've only had 1055 calories today. That includes the 6 gummy tums I've had. I don't feel good and I think my nausea tums are making me not hungry. Idk.

I haven't eaten since about 5PM last night. I had to fast for a blood work and then I've just felt blah all day afterwards. I did drink a 490 calorie drink. So I've had something. I swear I got a different generic of Topamax too. That along with my nausea tums are making me not hungry I think.

I haven't been checking my calories or weight lately and I am scared to. I have to get back on my diet and start exercising because I have my trip to Los Angeles in 4 months. Need to try and look a little better if I can!

I did week 1 of couch to 5k last week, surprisingly difficult, I feel like I’m getting old.

Helped my husband with his physio yesterday which has some good moves in it, so that’s something.

Better than nothing I guess.

I've had about 1,227 calories today. I only ate half my bagel and I measured out my 2 chai lattes and my ice cream. I've been eating Palmini lately which is heart of palm noodles. I did go down on one of my meds hoping to get more enegry. Maybe it will be helpful in other ways too.

I’ve been over eating which has caused my weight gain.

I’ve done the first 2 runs of week 2 of couch to 5k, first one on Monday felt hard, 2nd this morning felt better. I had a migraine yesterday so wonder if that was brewing on Monday perhaps.

Signed up to my running group for a short beginner course, feeling tentative but hoping it’ll help motivate me.

Diet wise I’m not doing badly, keeping loosely to a Mediterranean diet. Splurged on chocolate yesterday but that was part of the migraine sugar cravings.
Thanks for this!

I looked at my Lose It app and I've basically been the same weight since March with a 5 pound fluctation. Its good I've been maintaining my weight and not gaining, but I would like to lose 37 pounds. Everyone is telling me to focus on getting my health under control, then focus on losing weight.

I for once have a legit appetite decrease today. I do wonder if its because I went down on my med. I haven't had any iced chais or matchas. I'm out of fruit so I'll have to get more tommorow. I have one bag of miracle pasta left if I feel like eating it.

I had some watermelon which I threw up. I had half a non dairy iced salted cookie matcha which was ok. I then had a medium marshmallow cold foam coffee. Which I threw up. So I'm at about 861 calories give or take. I need to figure out something legit to eat. I've barely eaten in about 2 days.

Gained 4 pounds in total since I've been posting on this thread. When I went to the doctor, she was happy because I had lost 5 pounds since I was there last. My thyroid is WAY off according to her, so she will be increasing my medication but it will be gradual. I am SO hungry all the time it is making me mad. I am just eating and eating, hence the 4 pounds. I hate this so much.

Will try to check in every day and also try to exercise too. My gym buddy ditched me, and I haven't gone back since she did.

If you’ve got thyroid trouble that’s beyond your control, hopefully the meds will help. Good for you keeping up with your exercise!

I did last run of week two of couch to 5k yesterday, just 90 second runs, I actually felt I could’ve gone longer so that’s hopeful. Aiming to start week 3 tomorrow after work and volunteering.

Today I had some more fruit for breakfast, and a medium iced latte which didn't stay down. I'll eat a bag of miracle pasta whenever, and dinner will be some chuck pot roast. I'll be around 1,045 calories. So I'll have to figure out something else to make it to 1200 calories. Idk what.

My weight today was 214.2. Which is a 3.4 pound loss from July 4th. I know I've been on the lower Geodon since July 2nd or something, so I've been eating less and better and I haven't been feeling good either.

I got this walking pad online last night from Walmart. Its a treadmill without the sides so you just slide it under the bed when your not using it. I got a pretty good deal on it because of Walmart+ days and I had my gift card from my insurance company too.

So I'm hoping to start seeing some legit progress.

Second run of week 3 done, exactly the same as run 1 but felt easier. Beginning to wonder if it’s the time of day I go out, Monday’s run is late afternoon after full day of working and volunteering, and today’s was early morning, I always used to run first thing before eating and it seems to suit me better.

Food intake still going well.

New here. I'm not really watching my calorie intake much, but I just started couch to 10K today. First day wasn't bad, but I bet I'll be sore tomorrow. I want to lose 5-15 lb. The last med change after my hospitalization last Dec. made me gain about 15 lb., and none of my clothes fit any more. That also corresponds with me turning 46. Once I hit 46, I seemed to gain most of the weight in my midsection. I had been doing pilates daily and crunches, and it's helped some, but in the past I used to walk and jog, at one point jogging over 10 miles 5-6 days a week though perhaps that is related more to eating disorder thinking. I would like my clothes to fit again and not have to junk my entire wardrobe though once the Houston area recovers from Beryl I think I will see what I can pick up at Goodwill(still 1.3 million people out of power and the energy company serves 6 million customers, and a lot of places are still closed due to not having power or its workers not having power at home). Right now I only have 3 outfits that fit me (sigh).

I know I'm not fat, and my BMI is good, but I really need to shrink my midsection.

Since today was a rest day from couch to 10K, I walked 3 miles. I power walked most of it except the last quarter mile when slowed down to a talking walk pace. I am sore from couch to 10K yesterday, even my biceps. That's good though. I''d like to shape up my upper arms anyway. I hope I won't be too sore tomorrow though!
