Bless you Tart Cherry, hope the pain is not too bad with the stress fracture. You’ve got a lot to cope with at the moment.

I went out for a faster paced 10k this morning which I coped well with. My adult son is doing the half marathon too and it’s his first, he’s fit and healthy and used to shorter distances but I noticed he wasn’t increasing his distance runs, I was a bit concerned so we did talk about it. I think he finds it difficult to fit them in with his job and other activities, but he’d probably struggle on the day if he doesn’t train with distance even if he is fit. Mothers never stop worrying!

Anyhow he took heed and as I ran back I was delighted to see him running towards me, I always casually glance at other runners but rarely know them and he looked comfortable and in the zone. We high fives each other. It made my day!

Unfortunately I’ve come down with a migraine since, so been resting up.

Thanks for this!

I pushed myself too much and I need to cool it with how much I'm doing.
I did 15 squats with my ketlleball
20 reps with my weights both up and sideways so 49 total
And 20 crunches with my bosu ball and 20 reverse crunches

My knee was hurting badly so I didn't bother wirh the ab roller

Hi everyone. I am fairly new to these forums and haven’t posted much yet. I’ve just been exploring what all the forums here have to offer. I’m wondering if this is the thread where I can ask about weight loss injections? Does anyone here take them? I’m starting a health journey and looked online at my insurance coverage. As it turns out my insurance will cover Ozempic with pre-authorization. I just read about side effects and the weight returning after stopping the injections. I’m asking here because I’m trying to get reviews from people who actually take it before I take the plunge. I don’t trust google to answer all my questions. If anyone can provide any insight or even just a general opinion I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I'm on Ozempic. You inject once a week. It's great! I've lost 13kg so far. Definitely worth it.

I am also on weight loss injections and recommend them. Make sure you persevere through the initial adjustment period, because there are often side effects that will go away as you keep injecting. I also recommend that you obtain a prescription for Zofran before you start weight loss injections; this way, if you develop nausea, a frequent side effect, you will have Zofran to take for system abatement. I didn't have nausea on these injectables, but I occasionally get nausea as part of a migraine or anxiety, and Zofran helps very well. Zofran is a tasty orally disintegrating tablet.

Disco,

Thank you - I am not in pain when I just go through my day. The pain that led me to seek my podiatrist's advice would flare up after long walks, and I limit walking to the absolutely necessary now.

I bought the sneakers he recommended and now wear them all the time, with sturdy graphite insoles I still have from the last steas fracture. The idea is that the feet would not bend all day long, placed on those hard insoles.

What I did today:

Two sets of Australian exercises and two sets of calf stretches that I now need to do daily to help rehabilitate the foot injury and then indefinitely to help prevent more injuries in the future.

I am back to being able to do the Australian exercises just fine. I do not understand why occasionally my muscles down there get weaker and then I regain my strength.
