The next 2 days or so will see nice temperatures...then it's done. This year was tough...I didn't get the motorcycle on the road until August due to financial poo.

Haha...so who can blame me for stretching this out as long as I can? This winter shall be devoted to cussing and bicycling/stomping thru the drifts and ultimately getting a little fitness in. I'm not unhappy with this. I usually walk a lot in the winter anyways.

But there will be an adjustment period. I expect vigorous cussing until Christmas...then I'll be in th' groove. Walking/bicycling is something I should be doing year round. Getting older after all...need that stuff. It was just so damned entertaining to ride on top of a motor. Won't miss 4 wheels tho...never was much of a car guy.

Bring on the melts of April! *tick tock tick tock tick....*

Pops?

Are you close enough to "life" to get whatever you need by walking? My closest 'real' store is 30 miles. I would hate to think that you couldn't get your tea. Please let me know if your accommodations are sufficient.

Thank You,

I have not always been this insecure but in the last three years I have become overwhelmingly insecure. Facebook I think just makes it even worse because I feel left out when people post they are doing this and that when I didn't get an invite or they doing so well and yada yada. Plus I find myself checking up on ex boyfriends and other things....argh I dunno but then I know I would find myself wondering.......grrrrrrr
Yeah, I know what that is like, and that’s the reason I no longer use Facebook. All the envy, comparisons, conflict, stalking, it makes me hate myself and people I have known all my life. Although there are benefits to using Facebook, I feel top insecure to use it, and I don’t. It’s much better.

Yeah FB can be horrible sometimes. I had a black guy tell me God you're ugly, so I got my FB friends onto him. I had another little 17 year old post happy 40th birthday on a picture I had uploaded of me when I was visiting my dad in the hospital. I said I'm 29. She goes on to tell her friends that I'm 29, made fun of comments I had made, and told me I would die alone. I also reported her. I try not to have negative thoughts about people, but I can admit that I wished bodily harm to happen to her and her friends. I thought to myself then that they're just taking up all the good oxygen on earth, I sure wouldn't be sad if something awful happened to them. But then I thought about my own Karma, and I don't want anything bad to happen to me. Karma is a b---- and it will bite her butt someday. Maybe not now, but sometime she will get what's coming to her. At least I can hope that. Then I had another black guy tell me I had a lot of pimples. He posted "an@l beads" on a picture of my deceased grandpa. So I reported him for harassment and blocked him. I wish I could find these people, round them up, and send them on a one way trip to the sun.

That sucks! I'm sorry that happened to you. I used to live in SC and just last month someone hacked into the SC tax returns database dating back to 1998 and accessed millions of peoples' tax information, credit/debit card numbers, socials, etc. So the government gave us a years free security monitoring. Like that's supposed to make me feel any better.

One of my insect photos was entered into a (minor) online contest for Canadian photographers. The photo was…

Daily Comments #5- Just place to plant your thoughts. No feedback required.

And I came in second place with 29.17% of the vote. First place received 33.33% of the vote (one more than me) and was this photo.

*Sigh.* I never win anything .

Wow!!!!!!! Incredible shots!
What kind of camera did you use?
I'm a Photography Imposter, made by my Nikon D90 and a descent eye for framing shots.

You have my vote Mr. V

Thanks .

I use a small Canon Rebel XS with a 100mm USM Macro lens and a set of extension tubes. Mostly, I am an insect lover, so I decided to combine some art with insects, because I needed the camera equipment to document my animals in captivity, which are spiders, scorpions, etc. and I like to run around studying insects in the summer.

I caught this Bald Eagle from a raft on the Snake River with my 18-105mm lens. This is cropped big time, but the D90 Rocks

I was not expecting to hear what I heard about my neighbor who lives across the street from me. So sad.
