Over the years the one thing that kept me going was the fact that I felt okay physically - lately I’ve just added a lot of aches and pains..... now I got to be even stronger just to convince myself to keep involved. It really puts a damper on romance talk which has always been an issue with me. Also, it’s scary dealing with physical ailments alone..... I don’t know I’ve never felt that great about my situation now I gotta figure out an even bolder strategy to hang in there - just WOW okay 😎

My aches & pains just cause me to take hot showers to get things moving in the morning & to relax them at night. Rest of the day is like "bat out of hell" most of the time.....though these dreary wet days slow me down
Have you thought of PT or message therapy? Sometimes it helps the pain & PT can build up stamina

I think aches and pains are normal. I have aches and pains and I am in my early 50s. It’s what it is. My mom is losing battle with cancer and she is still dresses up and tries to enjoy it while it lasts. What eise is there really

After having my knee reconstructed in my late 30's after blowing our my ACL playing racquetball in the challenge court with an A player (I won the game but blew out my knee on my winning point)
Knee surgery, no walking on my leg for 3 months, tons on PT, I went downhill skiing on intermediate slopes the 2nd week, 6 months after surgery (wearing my knee brace of course) At 65 I am still climbing in & out if my truck bed, riding horses & hiking. I can't imagine life without being able to be so active in spite of all the broken bones I've had coming off horses the hard way. I think keeping moving & exercising helps keep the arthritis from getting bad in all my injured places like the ortho who monitored my compression fracture of my back said would happen as I get older. Dang it was hard not to mow or pick up anything weighing more than 5 lbs while my back was healing for 6 months.

Not necessarily Mac. Some people stay mobile and fit to the end. keep walking, keep active, keep interested, don't 'think' old, maybe take up new hobbies and exercise.

I think unless someone has an illness that causes immobility or serious injuries that mobility to the end can be very normal & keeping up walking does help keep arthritis from forming as it does with inactivity. Ok....also healthy diet helps too & suppliments.
I can actually see that helping with my elderly doggies....high protein, healthy fats & low carbohydrates.

—-i started having the shoulder thing a couple years ago. Physical therapy really helps. The exercise you do regularly has to work the shoulders. Your climate there will pose problems for that. Cmon down to Phoenix!

Why would your mobility end? My dad is in his 80s and he is mobile. My grandparents walked just fine. My grandpa used a cane at maybe 90. You are in your early 60s. Not sure why you worry about mobility. But I do understand worrying about getting old.
