I just ate a reuben from the mom and pop restaurant down the street. It was excellent, but I'm STUFFED. I didn't put the Thousand Island dressing on it. I think I need to go jump on the trampoline to get it to start digesting. Weight loss thread

I just went for a 1/2 hour run and then mowed the lawn (or more precisely, the moss) Weight loss thread

Better moss than thistles and dandelions that make up most of my lawn.

While I was trampolining, my son was volleying a balloon at me. Talk about getting the heart rate up trying to do two things at once, huff, huff, huff. I think the laughing helped too. Weight loss thread

Yesterday I only had the half of meal. (the chicken and green beans) Today I ate all of a lunch: spaghetti with meatsauce, pasta fagioli soup (no salad, no rolls, no dessert) sigh.

It isn't so much whether what you eat is good or bad (no food, that IS food, imo is bad. It's the non foods that are bad.) And imo a good plan begins with "just" listing what you're eating (no judgment.) Letting the brain know the mind knows.. hehehe that's important to me! Weight loss thread

I'm having to do more sets of stretching, due to my SI being out... but can't do exercise so to speak.

Yep, I think when you write down what you're putting in your mouth, you're held more accountable to yourself. Something about seeing it in writing makes it sink in more when you're eating the high-calorie, non-nutritive items. Yikes!

I'm finding that making sure to eat protein before anything else really does curb the cravings for carbs and fat.

I wonder how many empty calories are in a small raspberry turnover? My son got a 2-pack but had only eaten one. I'd been fighting the urge to eat it for a couple of days. Around 9:00 p.m. I couldn't fight it anymore. Weight loss thread At least I picked off that horrible crunchy drizzled icing, and there wasn't much for filling. Maybe 2 teaspoons of jam, definitely not more, just a light coating on the pastry. And it was flaky pastry, more air than substance.

I was around 200-300 below my high limit the day before, and hovering around the limit today, so for the two days total I don't think it would have done much damage, but I tend to get in the thinking of "Oh, I blew it today, there's no turning back."
Weight loss thread

Does anyone know that if you jump hard enough on a trampoline to get about 9 inches off the surface, that the deceleration doubles the G forces on your body, so it forces all of your cells to become twice as strong? I finally watched the immune system video that came with it. Weight loss thread

So far, so good today. I had a protein bar for breakfast, coffee with only 1 tbs. of creamer, 1-1/2 bottles of water, some sunflower seeds, and a Lean Cuisine for lunch. Total of 525 calories. Plenty of room for an afternoon snack, dinner and a treat.

Now if I could just get used to the growly stomach when it's too early to eat again and I don't have any low-cal snacks in the house.

do you eat the crack and extract sunflower seeds or the shelled kind?

When I get pistachios and sunflower seeds, I always get the kind in the shell so that I eat them more slowly.

In the shell. My favorites right now are Giant's dill pickle flavor.

Greenleaves, your mom is NOT being very helpful with this! What's up with that? What's her response when you ask her to help you?

If you give in to temptation, at least portion out a serving size instead of just eating straight out of the bag. That's what always gets me. Weight loss thread

Yeah, my Mom loves junk food. Weight loss thread

She's really thin and doesn't have to worry about food.

When I ask if she could stop buying junk food she asks me what would she eat instead? She loves her snack foods and she's not willing to give them up.

Good idea wi fighter, with the serving idea. I still might go overboard though...once I get a taste of it I might not be able to stop.
