Ok Friends. Here it is. We need to make commitments.

My goals for today are:
1) go to the gym and take a cardio class
2) give away 2 of my french bread loaves
3) eat no more than 1/2 of my remaining loaf (assuming that it's a small loaf - I don't know how big it's going to be yet, but there isn't a lot of dough)

What are yours? We're starting clean as of right now.

This thread is going great!

I think it's important to write down what you eat no matter if you think you did well or not.

gg, chocolate doesn't seem that bad. I'm sure you could have chocolate, just have less than you usually do...maybe eat it slowly. Weight loss thread

LMo, don't beat yourself up, it's OK to eat chips. Try to eat them more slowly maybe so you don't have to eat as much. Also one day isn't going to make a difference. Weight loss thread

wi fighter, I like lots of cream and sugar in my coffee too...it's cuz I'm not much of a coffee drinker. lol

Today, I had a cup of coffee with 2 tablespoonful of coffee whitener and 3 teaspoonfuls of sugar. Right now I'm drinking on of my diet shakes...250 calories.

No more coffee after this one. (I''ve already entered the calorie count in my food log).
Drag my butt the 50 feet to the car and get the case of bottled water out of the trunk.
Rebound for at least 20 minutes using hand weights. No excuses.
Go get a Lean Cuisine for dinner so I don't go overboard.
No snacking on cereal and cookies in front of the TV tonight.

GL - you're very sweet to have commented on our 'reports'. Thanks -- I do feel a little better. Thanks for the reminder that one day won't make a difference. I threw the rest of the chips away. It's out of my system now!

That coffee whitner/artificial creamer stuff is scary, though. Try to find a brand (if it exists) that doesn't have hydrogenated oil.

I think Lean cuisine is a great idea wi fighter. It's a good way to get portion control.

Congrats for throwing away the chips. I know that takes a lot of discipline.

I use Coffee-mate coffee whitener. It doesn't say anything about hydrogenated oil....hmmm...I guess that's not a good sign... Oh well, I don't use it often, so I think it should be OK.

Eeek, I found out that there is hydrogenated oil...hydrogenated canola oil.... Better cut back on the whitener!

if it doesn't have hydrogenated oil, then it's probably ok (although the whole concept still seems kinda chemically to me).

Throwing away the chips didn't take much discipline - lol. They aren't my ideal comfort food -- I got them because it was saving me from getting full-on french fries (which is what I really wanted). I *think* I got my lil closet eating binge out of my system and feel pretty good about what I can do with the remainder of my week. Weight loss thread

After reading about the creamer, I had to dump out the rest of my coffee. That probably saved me 50 calories.

If I behave with the sugary food and make some decent choices the rest of the day, I can still eat enough food to not feel deprived. I have like 800 calories left before I hit 1500.

I'm such a carbaholic. That's my major, major, MAJOR downfall. Why does carby food have to be the cheapest and most cravable? Weight loss thread

My stomach was rumbling so I decided to eat something.

I had one of those microwave dinners...Michelina's Advantage: Roast Turkey Cutlettes in Gravy with Green Beans, Corn, Red Peppers and Mushrooms (it was mostly green beans LOL...couldn't find any mushrooms.) It was 120 calories.

Sigh. Ok... recount for me... I ate the other half of the NY steak meal. Then I ate yesterday some pizza and salad. Today I ate salad, grilled chicken, green beans (and a small garlic roll Weight loss thread )
The partially hydrogenated oil is horrible for you.

Yes, I know if I could eat SOMETHING every 2 hours I would be in a better place. The nutritionist said I'm getting plenty with the one restaurant meal broken into two meals...but she wants oatmeal and fruit or juice and stuff for breakfast, and snacks. sorry, the restaurant doesn't do breakfast, as if I'd have time before physical therapy, and I haven't been able to keep snacks in stock ...makes for too many trips to store (which just doesn't happen.)

2lbs a week is the "gold standard" for losing weight. Sigh. I just checked at the Mayo clinic site... their eval of me (survey) says I shouldn't weigh more than 160 LOL yeah right, like my T and MD and PT wouldn't all have a kitten over that! I went to 160 once a few years ago (into a size 6) and they were all over me (caniption?) for being too small, thin. I liked it... but went back up to a 9-10 afterwards. Got to get down to 170 before I worry about that...

right now I don't care if I never eat again. Weight loss thread

So far I've had a Balance bar - 210 - and a Lean Cuisine - 260. I'm on my second 20 oz. bottle of water, and I had part of a diet Squirt. I'm snacking on sunflower seeds right now - 280 if I finish the whole serving, but the salt is bothering me today.

I trampolined for a few minutes this morning.

I'm not doing well and I don't want to post what I ate in yesterday. And I did not go to the gym. Weight loss thread

But today I have had:
1 cup of blueberries
about 1/2 cup of nonfat cottage cheese
2 cups of green tea
1 piece of my french bread toast (although it was kind of a big piece)

I put back half of the seeds for a refund of 140 calories. Now I'm eating a South Beach Diet bar. It's pretty tasty. The Balance bar this a.m. was really good - cinnamon, oats and honey.

I was going to save up room for a Reuben tonight with my son, but my daughter came home sick with stomach problems so she won't be going to her dad's and I won't be taking him out for dinner. (No sense exposing anyone else to this bug that's running around).
