Exercise is good for our bodies and our minds! Feel free to post any form of physical exercise you completed on a daily basis!

Today I walked 3 miles! It was cold but the walking helped to keep me warm.
Thanks for this!

Good reminder and thread!!!
It is great to get out but I just could not bare the cold this morning (-23 C/-10 F) so I did some yoga this morning instead. I will need to walk the dogs this afternoon, and hopefully it will be a bit warmer then.

I went to the range, technically shooting is a sport and therefore counts as exercise?

I actually did today - spent the morning gardening and then tonight went for a walk and did some more gardening. More than I do most days... mainly trying to distract myself but I still did it
Thanks for this!

I am unable to walk, but do special stretches, rolling over, sitting unaided and theraband exercises every day oh and i pull my chair around my unadapted house, pull myself up 15 stairs backwards every night and bum shuffle along the landing to the loo so i can get up onto my commode to pull myself back along the landing to get onto my bed each night. my kitchen is normal height so i exercise my shoulders every time i cook, wash up etc too.

I made it to the gym today. In addition to walking there and back - I walked at least a mile - I did 25 minutes of aerobic exercise (12 minutes on a stationary bike and 12 minutes on an elliptical machine) and then lifted weights. Then, I lifted weights. I got home, ate and fell asleep - I guess I over did it. I have 20 pounds to lose.

I lifted a teapot. Does that count?

Tomorrow I'm going downtown to meet up with a new friend. I walk there and I walk home. I guess that is a kind of exercise even if I refuse to see it as such.
Thanks for this!

I walked a mile today. Part of it involved carrying heavy groceries. I was still too sore from my workout yesterday to go back to the gym today. I am hoping to go tomorrow.

In addition to being more fit and looking better, I am trying to lose weight. But, after my workouts, my appetite is noticeably increased. My MD said that exercise would lower my appetite but that is not the case. It also does not help that I am on a medication that increases appetite. I see the MD next month and may have to have my medication changed or the dose lowered. He is not going to be happy. On the other hand, I am not happy being on this medication. Being hungry all the time takes an emotional toll on me.

My son disassembled his bunk bed in preparation to get his new mattress in his room. He and I carried the wood from the bed across the road to a field where I will burn it later when we have snow on the ground again. Not quite a workout but I was out of breath.

The new place I am working is HUGE and I have a lot of walking now to do for my clinicals. I decided that I will also only take the stairs and last night when I got home, I was so sore and stiff from doing so. I think I will get a pedometer to find out how much I am actually walking around now.

Took the dogs out for their run/my walk this morning before leaving for the day.

Hours and hours of house cleaning: I got the tub, a trashcan, a dirty clothes hamper, and the kitchen sink all sanitized. I emptied the trash in the house, cleaned out the (outside) ashtrays. Changed the sheets and duvet cover on my bed, washed and put away several loads of laundry and wiped all touch surfaces (including the remotes, laptop, and cell phone with clorox wipes). I'd keep going but I ran out of bleach Oh and wiped down about half of the baseboards and lower parts of the walls with clorox wipes (to get rid of dog grease from them laying against the walls). Despite running out of bleach everything looks sooooo much better!

I think that definitely counts as exercise

OMG ! ! I'm now RUNNING away from you all.
WTF ? Exercise ? I just knew it, eventually humour would show up , somewhere here. Brain trying to compute. Results.... Negative. Not found. Not known.
Let me see now,
e x e r c i s e.
No, nothing comes to brain. Try again. Sounds like :
'Ex -cer -size,' mmmm, thinking thinking...... 3 syllables, one word. No nothing, brain can't cope with unknown.
Reject , reject search.

So, I'm now RUNNING away from you
'Ex-cer-size-ing' aliens.

I load and unload about 1500 lbs. of books three days a week.

I also utilize a manually operated handtruck to cart them back and forth across campus to and from the van.

I think that more than covers my weight training and cardio/aerobic workout for the week.

Oh hell ya-met trainer at the gym-ran a mile togather than worked on new lifting routine (still in process). later on wanted a latte, no milk so ran to coffee stand, drank coffee, walked around store than ran back home. Did some core excersizes. I'm really excited in that I am "upping my game" doing lifting/cardio/and core-wanting to gain more muscle and endurance than I have. So I am excited for all of us that are putting the effort out in whichever way it looks for better health. So hurray for us-lets keep it going!!!!!!

To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one.
It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moments of our lives.
Nobody is born a warrior in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man
We make ourselves into one or the other

Some people dream of success
while others wake up and work hard at it
