What good thing have you accomplished today, that you're proud of or happy about?

I got to class! What have you accomplished today?

I got up before 7 and did my light therapy. Almost finished a knitting project too - probably another 20 minutes or so will do it. Saw the kids off to school (one of them - one is homeschooled and the other claimed to be sick, although he sure isn't acting like he is).

I crawled out of bed by 6:30 to help my kids get ready for "wacky day" for spirit week at school. My daughter went as Wendy Pepper from Bravo Channel's Project Runway (pre makeover by Kara Saun). To be any more perfect, all she needed was the brown and blonde skunk-streaked hair. It was hilarious.

Oh, I also called Office Max to tell them the printer cartridge I bought from them is defective, but I don't have the box or the receipt. The girl I talked to felt so bad because I bought one of the O Max refurbished ones instead an HP new one, she said to bring it in and she'll take care of me. Whooo hoooo!! That's $30 NOT down the drain.

I was kind of worried they'd tell me "too bad, all sales are final on ink cartridges." so that was an accomplishment for me, to not feel too intimidated to call.

good job! I'm kinda wary on ink cartridges... I work at office max and a lady ripped me off and I got in trouble cuz that's lots of money so they've told everyone we need managers approval on ink cartriges (yup one person ruins it for all) But I figure she'll take the new one out of the box and keep the old one and defect it.

Katt, what happened was that the cyan didn't get refilled. I couldn't figure out why I still wasn't getting the blues to print. I took it out and looked at it where the ink comes out - only yellow and magenta show up. I have my credit card transaction printed out for that day, and all I bought from them was the cartridge that day. It'd be pretty coincidental that I bought something else for the exact same price.

She even said "I shouldn't tell you this, since it's an Office Max brand product, but don't buy those again. They don't even use the same kind of ink." What have you accomplished today?

Anyway, I'm getting off topic. What have you accomplished today?

I took one of my clients to WalMart for the 6th time in less than 2 weeks, and this time we actually made it in the door and stood there - with her using her coping skills ! She did her diaphragmatic breathing, rational self talk, etc, and then asked if we could start down an aisle ! We made it a good ways, she was sorta chanting "I can do this" the whole time, and then asked me to stop walking. We stood awhile, she said she wanted OUT of there NOW, but I got her to stay just a few minutes more til her anxiety level went back down, and we calmly left the store. I was SOOOO proud of her !!!!! She was thrilled with herself, and I treated her to soft serve ice cream at a drive thru place (she hates drive thru's) and she survived that too !

Not really MY accomplishment - but it sure feels good when I can help someone else have that BIG of an accomplishment. She is working hard to get better, and today was proof ! There IS life after panic !!!

I've done some problem solving with the husband and haven't gotten ticked off yet! Wooo Hoooooooo

I've encouraged my baby boy to get a better paying job with an old friend but suggested "strongly" that he not rely on the friendship and be very business-like when he applies.

I also encouraged him to not be afraid of losing his "housing benefits" with the higher paying job. What he'll be making will allow him to move away from his in-laws, which he needs to do SO DESPERATELY! It was taken well, so I'm patting myself on the back for having chosen my words wisely. What have you accomplished today?

THANK YOU, (((((((((Silver Queen,))))))))))))) for posting this very possitive post! What have you accomplished today?

When my rent check was returned as undeliverable, I called my landlord even though I was anxious about it. He mentioned wanting to put the place up for sale in August and having a sign up by the end of the week. He didn't, and I haven't heard one word about it since.

I didn't want to ruin an otherwise OK day by being told that as soon as the weather warms up he's going to put it on the market. But I didn't have a choice, I needed to know what to do with the rent check. His voicemail picked up, so he got my message and I didn't have to ruin my otherwise OK day.

You mean I'm not the only one with a Wal-Mart phobia? I *can* go in there, but I hate it, and go all-out to avoid it. Congrats to your client. What have you accomplished today?

Wal-mart makes me claustrophobic! To add to my day, I went out to lunch with my ex, petted his kitty, he drove me to class and now I'm at home. I had a parfait and now I think I'll take a nap cuz i'm soooo stressed

I volunteered at the hospital today. I was able to talk to a few patients that were not on a vent.( I work in the ICU units). I talked to a man that has been married 63 years and he looked to be around 70 years old, lol, He was actually 90 years old but he sure didn't look like it. I asked him what things he ate to look so young. He said icecream and chocolate and the love between him and his wife is what keeps him so young. LOL. I was given a bag of goodies because it is volunteer week. 10 dollars for a book store in my area and 10 dollars for a coffee shop in my area. I tried very hard not to think of my home situation today and I think I suceeded.

Take care,
Leslie

It makes me pleased to read so many good things that people have done today! I'm glad people like this post. It's too easy to concentrate on the negative part of a day - such as missing classes, missing work, etc, etc, but there is always an achievement in the day - even if it's only getting out of bed, or going on the internet.

I went to my shrink, got my cat's medication refilled, walked home to enjoy the weather, did a lot of work-work, and am about to do billing and laundry. And pack, because we're going to NY tomorrow for a wedding!
