So, for since last December, MCI has decided to also bill me for calls I pay through Verizon. They have decided that calls in my own zip code are toll calls.
I thought the problem was cleared up back in February by the 6th customer service representative, who was suprised by how deep in the system the problem lay, she ws gonna assign A Person to track and fix. My March bill was back to normal. I thought everything was fine. Paid the bill. Moved on. April'b bill brought the problem back. I subtracted the local calls and paid the bill. Following month, new bill, same problem, PLUS none of my payments showed. Collections calls start coming. ($48.00 bill) I can't get through to customer service, unless I want to hang out on the line for a couple hours waiting for service. I'm getting dunned Sunday nights, Saturday mornings..... if their collections can find me, why can';t customer service???? (THEY NEVER CALL YOU) So, after the one saturday morning hung up on me as I tried to explain she was just a working stiff and upstairs the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, she hung up on me she hung the f up on me. OK I AM PISSED NOW. Wrote hard copy letter with cc CPUC, and KGO radio's 7 On Your Side consumer help dept. Well, KGO got back to me in 2 days, and took my case! Thank Godd cause, MCI cut my service. I can't make local calls to the south or long distance calls at all. Bastards. I still haven't heard from MCI customer service ever anyway anyhow. They don't know how to call out, apparently..... Verizon can't do anything to fix it because MCI is doing the screwing up. Heat wave, crazy crippled old lady, cut phone service. Oh baby I am sooo way pissed off. My best friend, who lives two hills over, who I called every day before, now calls me at least morning and evening to check the scoop. She forgot to call KGO and ask the nice lady to call me for the latest update friday, so, we'll try again monday on that one. I can call north locally. yah, the f, hooooooo Oh yeh, the other, really ironic part, is, that my log distance phone bill with MCI was is small, I was paying in advance--$40 bucks would last several months.... I didn't have to worry about paying it so often .....

Can you start recording your conversations with customer service? I know that really gets the companies goose when you start blogging and attaching the recordings (video or sound files) to your blog. Or, put video on youtube.com
![]() You could blog details of every call attempt to customer service, how long spent on hold, etc. Just keeping a record of you trying to resolve the issue, then later sending a complaint letter with records attached, will give you extra credibility with the company. I feel for you (((((huggs)))) . . . stuff like this really angers me. I hope you can resolve this soon. |
