ok how many people have on ignore? like the whole of PC bar about 2 people?? im sorry im such a horrible pain. if this is really the case you know i wont make the effort to reach out or to ask for help because i really dont want to be a nuisance.
i cant figure out if this is the case of if im actually losing my grip on reality and my feelings are ruling my thoughts. am i so self centred and self obsessed and disgustingly arrogant and demanding? i cant see straight at the moment about anything. or am i seeing straight? maybe im losing it and need a reality check or maybe this is the reality check and i need to accept it. if i try to do that i really think i will go over the edge. im so out of control right now. i know i sound 12 but i cant seem to get out of this mindset. im on a knife edge between "i cant do any of the things in my head because they re bad and wrong" and "i literally cant take any more and have to make life stop". i cant do this. i just cant do this. |

Part of being a member at PC includes accepting support when you need it.
![]() You can check any one member's setting (whether are accepting PMs or not) by clicking on their screen name and looking at the info. Biiv, when this happens with you, try reading over the list of common cognitive distortions. You will find you own a few of them, and as you counter the negative thoughts, it will help you to feel like you can manage life. You are doing this. I'm sorry you feel like you can't, but you are already doing "this." Take a break from whatever is causing you so much stress. You might say, Oh I can't skip work/school/whatever, but you can because it might be in your best interest to do so. If you need time to breathe, then breathe. On the other hand, if you would be better by being around ppl, do that. It does sound like your feelings are ruling you right now, but you can get a grip on them. I t might not be easy, but it's doable. Go to the top of the psychotherapy forum and find the list of 10 common cognitive distortions. ![]()

i cant take a break from my bosses express order to get some of my over due work done tomorrow. im going to take it as easy as possible. i have a reiki appointment. i cant take a break from my family. from my mother, father and sister all crying on the phone to me at different times today.
sorry. you re right. ive lost it. best thing is to shut up. am i falling for those cognitive distortions or is this real though??? am having so many painful and/or unpleasant physical symptoms right now from stress. im going to try to sleep. even just to go to bed and cry. anything. something has to give. im sorry. i cant keep it together. Think about it. Can't or don't want to suffer what you think will be the consequences if you just say "no"? Easier said than done, I know. You probably will not die if you say no to them (for the time being, at least).

![]() Know what else? You CAN tell your family "No." Say whatever you think they will accept the easiest as far as you not being able to talk at the moment and hang up... then don't answer the phone. When you're ready to reestablish contact, YOU be the first to call and set down some boundaries for them. Self-preservation is what it's called. Go ahead, release all that tension; have a good cry and then a good sleep. You'll see how much better you feel afterwards. ![]()

What you don't realize is YOU CAN take a break from all of that. The world will still be here when you get back.
I bet no one cares as much about all that as you do. You are the one putting most of the pressure on yourself. Tell the boss you have to have a break. But plan it, so you don't spend it on family or issues like that... and make sure you have support of some type so you don't spend that time worrying about the things you think you should be doing. I had to learn a different perspective. I went from being on top of the world to being unable to do nearly anything (at the time.) I found out a whole lot of what can go on the back burner, and what can just be tossed. ![]() ((((hugs)))

ho no you are not and i understand how horrible it can be! when no 1 gives you attention and you really need it! it`s o.k and yes i htink you better except the feeling you have at a certain moment without self judgment because this never helps you get rid of the feeling. you are not a nuisance..heck how familiar his feeling of " iam a nuisance" and stuff.. my sugest is to leave alone the "reality check" and let go of it. try to let go of control and not to stress so much about it. i if you suiceed to do that chances are you start feeling better hugs "lady MCB" |

im sorry everyone. i do appreciate every single reply. theres a lot for my pea brain to deal with right now and im clearly not dealing. im just sorry for my terrible behaviour.
