i need someone to comfort me please !!!!!

well here is whats going on today i ran out of my meds yesterday morning so i could barely sleep last night i had 5 hours of sleep now i'm tired anxious and really panicky to the point the my wrist feel a bit numb but my fingers feel fine it's a bit scary and worst my pdoc is on vaca i called the medical center they seemd so uncaring the pdoc's secretary never called me back i finally got a hod of her today she was rude told me my doc was on vaca and there was nothing she could to just come in thurs to see another doc for my meds then reprimanded me for missing my appt on weds i honestly thought iwas on thurs last week little did i know i was wrong and really running short on my meds now i don't know what to do i feel so helpless i called the medical center again this time i asked to speak to the crises unit this man was so helpful he asked if i wanted someone to come to my house and speak with me i said it was not nescessary he told me to just come in tom at 9 am and talk to some man named william and he would help me i can't beleive the doctors secretary was so cold to me i knew i can just come on pc and someone will give me the support i need badly now since at home no one really understands what i'm going through i'm just so anxiuos to have my meds so ican sleep normally and function without panic attacks whew desperate for tom so i will have my meds dunno how i survive tonight steph

i've found those "rude" medical secretaries also. i think that when a doctor hires someone to deal with "his public" that she needs to be monitored for the first 90 days by his office manager. even if they want to tape the calls.....that would be cool with me. i guarantee you that would weed out the rude ones like you had to deal with. that secretary is the first person that deals with a doctor's patient. she/he should have standards that are really, really high. our impressions that she doesn't care can carry over to our worrying that the doctor doesn't care either.

it's way too cool that you got the "good" guy that was so very helpful with you. that is beyond good. and offering to come to your house is unheard of!! medical crisis teams need to do that more often. we don't even have crisis teams in our doctor's offices or clinics here!!

i called last week to pick up new pain meds, that the doctor had come to my work to tell me about, and you would have thought that i had asked the nurse to be a surrogate mother for me and two or three of my friends! she could not have been more short with me and she also acted as if she didn't believe that Dave came by the frame shop. when i went in to pick them up, the receptionist never said a word to me...just laid the sack up on the counter and went about her business. i've always been very polite and low-maintenance in their office.

thank you so much my wrist already don't bug me that much i always feel so much better when i come on pc you guys are so wonderful oh man i'm gonna cry seriously ty i apreciate ur kind words and when my doc returns i'll be letting him i called her on thurs left a message then again yesterday that secretary never retuned my calls it was a miricle she picked up today and i got to see who she is and i will be letting my p doc know
