Thanks everyone. It's an emotional time for me right now. My nerves are shot to hell.

On top of worrying about my mom, my T goes for her scan to see if her cancer has come back. She has beat it twice now so I'm hopeful, but it's still scary.

The ghosts of my family are hovering around too. I feel like that little ten-year-old who lost her father. And even though I was an adult when my two brothers died, I still feel small.

The little one is grieving for so many lost and she's fearing the loss ahead. My mom

wish i could say i can make it go away for you
But i can not
I can sit with you
Listen to you..
feel your pain...
I know that fear..
But its still yours right now
I can stay with you and support you as you aways do me
We can sit on the curb when you need
Maybe a online curb...
But there is some peace in it
Please know as always i care about you
I am here when ever you need

Thanks everyone.

It's so sad. My mom

My mother is 79 years young. She is fit, active, and has created a good social circle since she moved here four years ago. (She'd gone into total isolation so this is huge.)

Her life has been hell too. Lost a husband and two sons and never fully recovered from that, but she was beginning to bloom down here.

To look at her you wouldn't know she had a time bomb ticking away.

Thanks for your support. I was so worried that both my T and mother would be dealing with cancer at the same time. It was scary to think T might not've been available to me as I go through this rotten chapter in my life.

I think I confused people. Sorry. My mom

Unfortunately, it's not my mother who got good news, it was my T.

T had cancer twice before and went for her scan today and she is okay and healthy. Whew.

My mother's lung cancer came back. She only has one lung because the other one was removed.

They did radiation and it shrunk it by 50%, but two other tumors have grown and she has numerous nodules. They can't treat her with radiation again because they can't risk damaging any of her healthy cells plus there are too many.

We are not sure about chemo yet, but I doubt that's an option for the same reason. We're waiting to meet with the oncologist.

That's very sweet, J.G. Thank you.

We see the oncologist on Tuesday. That's if they don't cancel due to Hurricane Ike. As much as I dread the news, the waiting is excruciating.

Everyday someting different is stirred up. Today all I can see is my brother in hospice, looking like a skeleton. I so don't want my mom to suffer.

P-doc and T are really stepping up to the plate to support me but I don't call.

What more is there left to say.
