Ha, this is a fun thread. My former T, I swear, was born in the wrong century. He would wear suspenders, bow ties, even a pocket watch. A pocket watch! I used to tease him about it (nicely). New T seems to wear flannel-type shirts, but nice, usually some kind of plaid or windowpane something pattern. Docker-type pants and always Timberland boots for some reason.
Isn't it funny how we can project just based on this stuff? I remember looking at him one day and deciding that, based on his outfit, he drives a Subaru wagon with 4-wheel drive (burgundy or dark green), and is a craft beer kind of guy if/when he drinks, but that he'll drink wine at a party. Craziness! ![]() |

My therapist looks like an all american nerd. Talks about star trek and his obsession with swimming in crystal water. Lets his hair grow too long and is constantly throwing it out of his face like a Jonas brother.
![]() I wear whatever I feel like wearing to therapy. Because my therapy sessions aren't typically preplanned. So it's whatever I'm wearing when he yanks me away or calls me 10 minutes ahead of time. ![]() ![]() |

Mine looks like a grandma. She's upper 60s I think. White hair, glasses, once in awhile she will wear a little bit of light eyeshadow. Blue eyes, really pretty. I'd love to see pictures of what she looked like when she was younger. I bet she was a knock out. She told me her oldest just turned 50 and she has 6 kids all a year apart. She dresses professional yet looks comfortable.
I dress in jeans and a tshirt or hoodie. I usually wear make up because I hate leaving my house without it. If I'm feeling really crappy I'll just put a little liner and mascara on so I don't look completely horrible. Always wear perfume daily and she's commented on how nice I smell, lol. I guess I don't dress much any different for sessions. I'm a SAHM so being able to leave the house without my kids for an hour excites me. ![]() |

I love this thread!
My T is in his late 40's and very cute. He's average height...maybe 5'5" or so. Not too thin and not to heavy...just healthy looking. He has brown hair but has a receding hair line...no facial hair. He usually wears khakis and a button-up shirt with dress shoes. I don't think I've ever seen him in anything else. I used to wear nice clothes, always have my hair done and makeup on. I felt I needed to impress him. However, in the last few months, pretty much when the sh** hit the fan in my life...sweatshirts and sweatpants, hair in a ponytail and little or no makeup became my look of choice. It's funny because last week, I came in wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt, and he asked if it was spring yet because I didn't have my hoodie on, then asked me what I was going to do during the nice weather. I think he is starting to think I'm getting a bit to frumpy!

My T wears khakis and a casual long-sleeved shirt with a collar. In the summer a few times, he's worn a print Hawaiian style shirt with short sleeves. And a few times I think he's worn a T-shirt, but not often. He usually wears casual shoes and sometimes cowboy boots.
![]() ![]() I do not dress up for session. I usually go to therapy from either work or school so I just wear whatever I have on. I am not much of a clothes horse. I own about 3 pairs of pants, 6 shirts, and 2 cardigan sweaters. I am sure T has seen all of my clothes by now. I vary the look with scarves or necklaces. I have a lot of each. T does like specific scarves or necklaces so sometimes I will choose one of his favorites.

I am chuckling at the mention of T's feet (WePow!! LOL), shoes & socks. I guess because I was going to mention my T's, too! She always wears dressy sandals and in the south we don't wear stockings, so I see her bare feet. And I am a person who thinks feet are disgusting. lol. But there go my eyes anyways; she seems to have a pair of shoes (and outfit) for every day of the year, so I feel compelled to look to see if they are ones I've seen before. I told her once she must have a house with dozens of closets!

OMG...hoodies are the best for T....I wear my son's large baggy ones, I feel so safe and hidden with my hands tucked up into the sleeves. Funny.

My general impression is that he's small (but I am 5'10" so anyone under 5'7" looks short to me). I am pretty sure he is bald, or almost there, and I think he wears glasses. I would never recognize him if I saw him in public.

Oh wait, I didn't describe my T's feet/shoes!
![]() I must be one of the odd ones out here, because actually I spend lots of time looking at her eyes or her hair......I like eyes and hair. I seem to notice those things first about people. ![]() |

MyT is in his early 30's, I think, has shoulder length hair and always dresses the same, except he wears long sleeves in the winter sometimes. He always has nice jeans or Khakis and nice t-shirt type shirts, but not t-shirts. He always wears brown shoes. Pretty predictable I guess.
I do consider what to wear when I go there, nothing too low in front because when I sit on the couch, I dont want my bra strap hanging out or anything. ![]()

Haha, thanks you guys!! I love every description!!!
Makes me wonder how people would describe me. Have you noticed that nobody really judges their T's style? seems like we love them too much ![]() My T has a classic but casual style. Sometimes she wears nice jeans or a maxi skirt (that's what you call those long skirts, right?), has one pair of boots.. I don't remember at all what kind of shoes she wears when it's not winter. We'll see soon ![]() She doesn't wear make up (at least I could not detect it) , doesn't do anything with her hair but she has a hairstyle that doesn't need anything to make it look good. Sometimes she wears blouses or normal jumpers. Oh, once, she wore a pink turtleneck and hat a matching lip stick. I wanted to hug her, I thought it was soooo adorable!! ![]() |

I just realized something...if anyone watches Glee...my T kinda looks like Kurt's dad. Haha typical man's man, would wear flannel shirts and a basball cap if he could!

I wonder whether it's ok for US to wear sandals etc.
I never feel comfortable showing my feet, unless I'm on a beach or somewhere similar. I'd feel "naked" with more or less bare feet in Ts office. |

Maybe she goes with the current fashion you know. It's all 90s again with some other things ![]() ![]() My T has a really weird body type though. She's average, but has a really skinny neck and shoulders but her thighs sometimes look rather big. ![]() |
