It's only the 2nd Pdoc I've seen. I didn't like the first. This one seemed to grasp my problems pretty quickly and I feel like i'm kind of mooning over him. It's embarrassing really, 'cause I'm sure that I'm just grateful that he recognized me when fdoc, tdoc and ex pdoc didn't, and I don't myself. But at the same time, I'm also afraid that I exaggerated my mood flips and behaviours to give him the wrong picture. I want to tell him about all the stuff I left out, but don't get to see him for 3 mths. Maybe just as well. Infatuation is a nuisance I can do without!

Hi, Jeanie. I know what you're talking about. I acted the same way with my ex-MD. He was cute, calm and caring. The one thing that I didn't like...his voice was completely flat...monotone...so much so, it was kinda weird.

Anyhow, I think it's pretty normal to do and professionals are trained to spot it and to deal with it. Infatuations can be really fun, though, can't they?

Good luck! I'm glad you found someone who hears you and that you feel comfortable with!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Pdoc is Spanish and calls me "patricia" which is pronounced Pa tree she a.........and then he blushed said, "oh, please forgive me,i don't know you well enough to call you an intimate name" and I said, "well, you already know that i'm nuts, and i like the name so call me that".......and he does. and i like it. that is what i was called in NM and it does mean a more intimate relationship...not like a neighbor or such. means they care for you. i think it's sweet.

LOL, yes, infatuation IS fun....speaking of voices, my son's T has a voice that melts me everytime I speak with him on the phone! Sometimes I want to call him just to hear that voice, but I restrain myself and wait for some legitimate questions to pile up before I call new p-doc, grateful and getting attached already?
