I'm nervous about my session. I leave in about 2 hours. We're having a heat wave so I'm staying inside until time to go. Her office A/C is never good. I keep worrying she's going to call and cancel because it's too hot!

I just added one to mine. I went to MY PROFILE (at the top of your page on the left). Then I scrolled down the left side to 'edit profile picture'. Once that comes up, you will see Option 1 and Option 2. I used option 2 because I was using a pic that I had on my computer. Then I hit enter or save. Not sure what it says at the bottom.

This should work. If you need anymore help, let me know.

Im doing ok today. all this talk about T's makes me want to see mine sooner after our misunderstanding last week but i dont get to see him until next week. that seems so far away. have a late night at work to teach a class and not many clients today to fill up the time. what will i do with myself?

my daughter is going to meet her inlaws this week for ten days and the state she is traveling to does not have reception for our cell phone carrier so i will not be hearing from her. this will be such a loss as we text every day. i will miss her.

hope everybody is doing as well as they can be.

I am getting really nervous about having surgery on Friday! I keep telling myself that I don't need to have this done. I want to back out!

Saw my T. Bittersweet. I'll start a thread about it later. She really wants to help my H and me make our marriage better.

Tree is your kitty ok?
I'm scared cause August is fast approaching and T goes away for the whole month.
I have to have a medical procedure tomorrow...not a huge deal but in a triggery place.

Well my attempt to freak out by reading "love's executioner" by Yalom totally failed. It proved to be an amazing source of inquiry.

It opened up a lot of venues for me and brought a renewed closeness and connection with my therapist and others.

Darn it. I was hoping for drama!

We had to have him put to sleep. It was an exhausting day for all of us, but it's okay.

Tree, I'm so sorry for the loss of your kitty. They do wrangle their way into our hearts and family.

Yeah my therapist was impressed that I had read that book. However, yalom's emphasis on the fear of death became rather a joke in my session.

So funny.

Today I am more centered. T wrote back only to confirm I see him Friday. He did not sign it or say my name. Was brief. Somehow that did something to me where it just made something move over inside of me. I feel that I should just work with myself. I know he is busy, and that is fine. I just... I am healthier to not be emotionally bonded with him.

I am up and running this morning. Trying to get everything ready and taken care of before my surgery tomorrow. I have my granddaughter with me. I am taking her "Back to School" shopping to get her school supplies. She is just entering Kindergarten, so this is very exciting for her.

Then I am off to my classroom to finish up some organization. Hopefully, I am going to meet up with some friends tonight to help me relax before 'going under the knife' tomorrow~!
Thanks for this!

Squiggle, I can't find where you mentioned what kind of surgery you're having tomorrow. I hope it goes well, and that it's something minor. Is this to do with the freezing skin from the ice? Sorry I must have missed it if it's something else.

My T made me cry while I read the email she sent me, because she's taking off the week after next. I think after telling her I love her, and being so honest about everything, it hurts me even more to have to miss a week. I emailed her while I was crying and told her because I never cry in session, and I wanted her to know. Not to make her feel bad, but to know what makes me cry.

I am having my gall bladder removed and what they call a 'soft tissue' removal from my left wrist.
