MKAC - did you hear from therapist or did you call? (unless too intrusive to ask - and if so - then sorry).

I called him a little over an hour ago and left a message. Have not heard back.

Most definitely there is a gain for making me doubt myself.

If I am not sure whether something is real, or I am being told that I imagining things, I can trust the following people to always tell me the truth. They care about me a great deal and would never hurt me. It is ok to listen to them and do what they tell me to do.
1) H - phone number
2) Daughter - phone number

Thanks. I may have to work on a list like that. Sadly, my default is to think that it must be me but now I am beginning to wonder. I know that T would say I am sane...has been saying if often lately.

Sconnie...
Lay off the dairy. Seriously, just while you are ill, some studies have shown that dairy products prolong viruses. Go for raw fruits and veggies, as much pure juice as you can, and lean proteins. Chicken soup is not a myth, but it should be home made. Vitamins C, A, K, and E are vital. That's why I love Naked Juice for sick peeps. Traditional Medicinal puts out some specific teas for colds and flues that I keep in stock this time of year too. Slippery Elm tea can be a lifesaver.

lola, and murray and anybody who was listening, why does there have to be a GAIN for the other person? that's very altruistic. why not, hey I want to win this argument ie discussion and shut you up already. That would be "gain" enough for most people, wouldn't it, or am I too cynical?
Thanks for this!

I hopelessly behind on the goings-on of the couch. It's been a busy week. I hope all is well for folks.

I had an awesome session yesterday. I finally (finally!) got in touch with some rage about my FOO. There's a ton more there, but even letting out a little felt good. T looked very pleased with himself.

A friend of mine is going out of town this weekend, so I'm taking care of her dog and cats. I'm bringing the dog home with me - she's my best doggie friend. My cats will not be happy, but they'll get over it. It should be fun.

Yep, we're all actually a little bit allergic to dairy. If you really think about it it's kind of gross that we drink the milk of another animal... we're the only animals that make a habit of doing that as part of an everyday diet. So there's a bit of an allergic reaction every time we consume dairy products, and this like any allergy is going to prolong colds.

I love Odwalla's Strawberry C Monster when I'm sick. A Nepalese friend got me into making a tea out of turmeric... with honey, it's very soothing. Feel better!
Thanks for this!

So glad there's another maple addict out there. I swear I will eat maple-anything. Also, no such thing as too much maple sugar candy.
Thanks for this!

I blend turmeric into my juice every morning. It's a natural anti-inflammatory and really helps with pain. (I am allergic to ibuprofen).

Ugh, allergic ibuprofen... well that's a pain in the a s s. Didn't know about the pain-relieving stuff, thanks for the tip! Might be useful for cramps, do you think?

Gaslighting is what murray was referring to and I would think someone would have to have an ulterior motive that was pretty significant to make one want another to question their own thoughts and or reality. Winning of a simple argument seems like a minor gain to me.

Actually Sally, if you put a little fresh sage into your turmeric infusion it will definitely help your cramps. (Sage tea is great for a sore throat too)
