I sent an email early yesterday afternoon asking if I could work on a certain project in between stuff that has to be done this week. He never responded. I sent him a text asking if I could talk to him and he called me. He was driving from GA back to NC. I asked about this project and he said let's talk about it next week. I reminded him of my being on vacation next week and he said we'd talk about it the following week. I asked if there was anything else I could do. He told me to look over payroll (which I'm not involved in) and get him the number breakdown between group homes, administration, and supported employment. I thought this was strange because the issue with my coworkers was over salaries.

My boss is normally a straight-shooting guy. I don't know what's going on, if anything. GAH!!!
I think a family death will make anyone avoidant and off. And I think if he was worried about the coworker/salary issue, he wouldn't be putting you on the task. So if it were me, I'd keep my eyes open, but mostly chalk this behavior up to the fact that he just had to make a trip, see family, and grieve a loss.
Thanks for this!

Chopin-I think Sally Brown has a point. Also, you are probably someone that he knows will get those numbers for him and be accurate about it. He might just need to busy his mind right now and pulling that information will give him something else to focus on other than what he just went thru. Seeing family is already hard and then to top it off- in that capacity makes it hard. I would just go enjoy your week off...in your soon to be clean house and take a breath. Like you said..your boss is a straight shooting guy..so I am sure he would be honest with you. Again, not understanding the politics of stuff like that-its just my heart felt opinion. Breath..inhale/exhale. Go see T.
Thanks for this!

Thanks, y'all. I'm just exhausted. I didn't sleep well last night. My boss is usually straightforward and he said he was driving...probably with his wife and 2 younger kids (maybe his 2 adult children too). His wife's family is nuts. It's a lot of stress on him, I'm sure.

I just made myself worksheets for T today (and for a while)...there's a lot of questions for each area of shame. There's a couple of shame areas where I actually felt shame just typing what they were. To quote my boss, "Urg."

T's fingernails were, as always, short and very neat. And you know it was a tough session when my appointment was at 10:30 and I am JUST NOW able to open up again enough to discuss even his fingernails. LOL.

Hi all.

Frustrating comptuer day. No internet this morning and no printer until this afternoon - because I called IT to get it fixed.

Me: Have your tried printing today?
Coworker: It's not working. It hasn't worked all day.
Me: Did you call IT about it?
Coworker: I forgot.

Sigh....

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad session, murray. But one bad session doesn't mean therapy is going badly, right? Comfort food good.

I just arrived home from a very powerful session, in a good way. It did not go the way I thought it would, and what made it powerful was surprising to me, and I can't write about it just yet (because I have something I have to do first), but I'm going to. Glad I go back Thursday.

It was odd that this week focused on T's nails. T's nails are normally a nice length and well-kept, but she actually had them painted today. I don't remember her nails being painted in 1.5 years of seeing her. They were a salmonish-pink color. Quite nice.

Oh how I wish it came with a hot repair guy. We use remote assistance and I had to reboot the printer a few times while the IT guy fixed it from his office 2 miles away.

When we do get a copy machine repair guy he's usually too old and smells like he bathed in Old Spice.
