stopdog, is the british boys' school Alcott's Little Men? Not quite as popular as her Little Women, for some reason, but I started with them. Also her Eight Cousins, which I adored. I've wanted to find The Latch Key Kids, five kids who solved a mystery, but they seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. Once in a while I'll come across a children's book in a used bookstore that I remember pieces of, so specifically, that I know I read it in childhood from the library. Pretty weird what the mind remembers. I also remember that we had a dictionary where the definition of "rarely" was "infrequently", and vice versa, and that's when I decided dictionaries were useless and you'd better figure out the meaning of a word fRom its context.
Thanks for this!

Good night, Young Butterfly. I'm going to bed too.

Every time I think "young butterfly", I hear "young padawan" from Star Wars.

Good night, couchkateers!

Clever. Hard as hell to play! I could see someone spinning around in a couple of parts of this song, but dance? No.

Heart says one thing, mind says another...If I listen to my mind, which I know I need to, I lose someone who once was a great friend to me...but if I listen to my heart then I risk getting hurt again, giving in, and putting strain on what was a good relationship but broke and will never be the same anyway. I also give in to someone who did 2 things I promised I'd never let anyone do to me. 1) Get so close that they learn my inner most worries and thoughts, 2) break down all my walls only to completely leave me without a word later..

I wish I had more than 1 more session with my T before I don't see her for 2 weeks. I also wish I knew how to bring up that I'd like to increase our sessions to 2x a week. My insurance covers unlimited sessions and I don't have a copay, so money wouldn't be an issue. I just don't know how to go about asking or doing it. It'd lower the anxiety between sessions, help me trust and feel more safer around my T, and it'd help with the emotional roller coasters that i'm going through lately.

I wish I could give you advice, or even some useful supportive words. I do know from experience that these wounds will heal. But that does not make it easier right now.

That's a tough one. I would find it really difficult to do so, too. But as people tend to say on this forum, Ts like it when we state what we need... it's a completely unintuitive relationship in that way! I hope you will find a way to ask your T in your next session.

Thanks! I really appreciate this.

(just ftr, the word order would be the same in Swedish and Norwegian as well, in these sentences. But not in a lot of other languages.)

Even just the hugs help. I'm listening to music to numb myself while writing my feelings out in a journal for my T. I've written 12 (small) pages in 5 days. Oh well.

I ended up just writing it in my journal for her. I said that I think it'd help lower my anxiety between appts until I can get comfortable, it'll help us get more time to discuss the important things and cover anything that might come up in between too, and it'll help me connect and trust easier. Right now trust is a very difficult thing for me, my entire mind and heart are resisting it so much because of this friendship dealy, that I'm having a hard time feeling safe around T since it's a new "relationship".

Also woo 100th post.

The fascinating thing is that modern English word order is so close to modern Danish, when the Danish invasions ended over a thousand years ago.

I had to play a piece by Bartok for my grade 1 piano test. It was in 5/4.

Morning peeps. Moving day for mom, finally. The actual closing isn't for a few weeks, but this is KEY. It makes my daily load cut into two. Meanwhile, my house went on the market yesterday, and we have a show today. I am grateful that my family has worked hard to keep the place in show-able condition so I won't have to go crazy here.

SD...happy hollisters, I loved those books. I think I will look for them on ebay so that I can read them through treatment, that would be enjoyable.

Mornin, peeps!

SO tired this morning and my throat hurts....NOT good. Hoping it goes away before my show on Friday. ACK!

Listening to a song on my headphones at the moment so I can wake up a little....gotta get my daughter up for school, then get to work, then to class....so it's a busy day ahead. Gotta feel alive...instead of sleepy....So far, the song isn't working. Ha ha.
