I'm just nervous cause there are some important things regarding my CSA experiences that I want to talk about today but I'm afraid I'll have a flashback or dissociate and I always feel worse afterwards when that happens. I feel like T gets frustrated with me and thinks "You're doing this all wrong." Flashbacks are so scary for me...I am hoping it doesn't happen.

On the plus side, I woke up this morning and it's snowing outside . I love snow.

[edited to add: Yay, snow! We had frost this morning, but it's been warmer during the day... and no snow yet.]

I don't know how you all notice and remember what the therapist is wearing.

I am waiting at my physical therapist's. I waited longer for the walk signals at the crosswalks than I spent walking here, and you cannot see the place from the crosswalk! okay, not exactly, but almost. and STILL the first 2 guys almost ran me over. where's a cop when you need one?

It seems like I have a lot of other safety balls to juggle when the therapist is present. Clothing is not one of them for me. But I also don't get why the idea of others going with you is reassuring either. (I am not criticizing those who do- I just don't understand it). The pocket riding concept makes it seem even less safe than it already is for me. I am an alien.

I'll jump in your pocket, Focus. Hope it's not too late. Hope you and Chopin's T sessions go well. I have mine today too. I know some others do too. Good luck!! My T always wears pants. Some darkish color but I will report back later about exactly what it is.

granite, glad you're feeling better

hankster, good like at your PT appointment. We have a walk sign on a street that lasts about 5 seconds before the light changes to red! You have to RUN across the street! Crazy. Take care!

Hi to everyone! Don't forget to vote!
Thanks for this!

I think it's more about people caring enough to say they will pocket ride. It's just NICE to feel supported. It's a feeling, not something logical. My opinion. I don't always notice my T's clothes because they're low-keyed and Earth tones. I always notice whether she wears make-up or not, though.

Hey, question for next time or whenever, if anyone wants to answer. What kind of make-up does your T wear? Hmm, for female Ts only. For men: have to think of something else.

I know another person who has gone to the same therapist I do. And she did sometimes talk about the therapist's attire. If she was correct, the therapist I usually see dresses in a somewhat outlandish way, and yet it does not register with me. The therapists clothes cannot harm me, so I don't need to notice them.
I understand the concept of support. I just do not understand why the things people say/do are supportive. I have friends who do things for me that they think are supportive. I find them annoying, but I recognize they mean to be supportive. I recognize that others find those things to be supportive. I usually cannot articulate what I would find to be supportive, just what I find not to be.
I find it supportive when my partner kills the spiders instead of insisting I do it. I do not like spiders.

Thanks for checking in, Jersey!! I survived my busy day!!! Woo hoo!!!

It was crazy...Had to work, then in a 3 hour timeframe, I had to run to my moms to pick up something, run to a friend's house to take my daughter and her son trick-or-treating...then drop him off...go to another friend's house, go trick-or-treating with them, pack a bag for my daughter, pick up my mom, take them a 1/2 hour away to my sister's house and then get to my class on time. And I made it to class almost on time! Whew!

Class ran an hour later, cuz our show is in just over a week....I am soooo nervous about being on stage. But, my act is finally coming together so I just need to tweak some things and start memorizing my act.

After my class ended at 10, I had to pick up allergy meds for my daughter and run it over to my sister's house where she was spending the night cuz I forgot to bring it from home....and then had to work on amending my niece's taxes for an hour.

I was exhausted by the time I got home around 1 AM.....

I have group T today for the first time in 3 weeks....I was sick the one week, then the hurricane caused last week's group to be cancelled....I feel so disconnected from the group right now that I don't even want to go. Also, I think it's cuz I don't want to face that guy.....*sigh*

I can't tell you how many times I've been in that theater and seen parents walking /running out with their screaming kids because it tends to be too scary for them. How old was your son when he went? He's got to be over it now- yes???

Where did you staty on Disney?

Ugh. Don't say that. I am going tonight after therapy. Probably not the wisest time choice.

T was wearing gray khaki capris. Which was an interesting choice as it's 45 degrees and raining.

When I asked her if she was cold because she was wearing a button-down shirt, a sweater, capris, and sandals she said no. She said, "When you're 55 years old, you'll understand. Ask *receptionist* if you dare." Well, receptionist wasn't in, but I asked a 52-year-old coworker once I got to work and she said it's true...the hot flashes start at the bottom and work their way up.

One of our consultants (58 years old) was here and she was wearing a mini-dress with rain boots.

I'm wearing jeans, a hooded sweatshirt, and boots...and I'm still cold! My 6'6" 250-lb boss was whining about being cold.

Today is officially a weird day.

What is everyone up to this afternoon?? The good thing to staying home from work today, I got some cleaning done. I mopped my kitchen floor for the first time in a while.. not a good thing when I have two little kids.
