Good evening couch...

I haven't been able to bring myself to say anything to my T yet, but my truest hearts desire is to be as important to someone as they are to me. Someone who walks upright and not on all fours. It's never happened and I doubt it ever will.

MKAC and CL...I totally understand that desire, as I have it myself. T always tells me that you eventually get over not having it- the more you learn how to nurture yourself and have empathy for yourself. I get what she is saying, but I don't see how it will make the desire go away. Its so textbook. I wanna punch a wall when she gives me that answer.

Hey guys...oh how I wish I could hug each one of you (except Stopdog) and tell you all how incredible you are. MKAC...I watched a few Shirley temple movies and sobbed. I wished someone had loved and adored me. I know ST has had a rough life, and the movies aren't reality (I ordered her book this afternoon too), but it must have been cool to have people think you are awesome and pretty and sweet. sigh. I get not taking it from your kids in a needy way...but sometimes it just comes. I walked thru the commons hand in hand with my 23 yr old daughter...I felt totally loved, and valued and needed. And it's okay. She even put her head on my shoulders a few times and kissed my cheek. I know that no one can replace me in her life. She has a fiance whom she loves, she has friends, a sister, a brother, a dad. But she only has me as a mom. I don't think it's selfish to absorb that...at least I hope it's not. If I die, many women will pass thru her life, but I am irreplaceable. I know that.

omg...the commons is the best at Christmastime! I even bought some gifts! The tree is beautiful this year. Warm fuzzies...totally warm fuzzies!!!

That's a perfectly reasonable desire. It's almost a basic human right.
I suspect that you can't "stop wanting it".

We bought my dogs "indestructible" stuffies at faneuill hall. Lex is snuggling with hers, Sadie had hers ripped to shreds in about 4 minutes. lol.

I brought my dogs those before. Indestructible are very destructible

Wiki-I hope you continue to not need the pain meds. I pray for you hard everyday.

Goodnight folks. I gotta be in work at 6:00am tomorrow. I'm gonna go lay down in front of the TV and nurture "little Jersey" by watching Rudolf the Red-nose Reindeer on TV. It was my favorite childhood Christmas show. For one hour, one day a year during the Holiday season when that came on TV, all the bad stuff disappeared. For one hour, 1 time a year. You all have a good night.

but .......... try to grasp the fact that you can also be tremendously important to people you hardly know, and will never be aware of it. Their need, not your efforts. You will just happen to be in the right place, at the right time. and divine Providence allows you to take a part.
