MUE-I eat on 20 a week. It's easy to do when alone but you also have to feed your daughter. So it would not be simple although possible.

Wow, $20/week? What on earth do you eat on that?

I haven't done the math for me, but I imagine that it's doable - but just not with healthy choices (for me). It would mean lots of carbs - and a lot less fresh veggies. If I could find a way to enjoy beans more, I'd probably be healthier....

I've eaten potted meat and crackers, fatback biscuits, fried spam with ketchup, penrose sausages baked in a roll(pigs in a blanket). Anybody ever eaten chitlins? I have smelled them cooking and no way in H E L L would I ever eat them.

Oatmeal for breakfast coffee for lunch and whatever I can find for dinner. 1 pot of chili lasted me a week. One pack of turkey sausage lasts me a week. I barely eat veggies. Lots of pomegranite seeds though.

When my grandmother made squirrel stew, she would boil the whole squirrel and tap the skull with an ice pick, scrape out the brains and add it to the stew. No way I was eating that. Pickled eggs or pickled pigs feet anyone?

He said, "Mommy, that's so pretty. Can I have it?" She did. Mommy and godmommy are bi, so we don't think much of it. Now his dad would've had a fit if he heard it. He's 7 now and while he still has serious dance skills (which upsets his dad), he is mostly all boy now. Pic of him:

Then again, when my goddaughter was two, she saw me change from my bathing suit to my regular clothes. She looked at my breasts and said, "Wow, you have strong boobies." It was so hard not to laugh because she was dead serious. I just smiled and said, "Stronger than Mommy's, huh?" She nodded gravely. She's almost 6 now. Pic of us:

Mommy had gastric bypass and her once DDD boobs hang to her waist. I'm serious. It's amazing to watch her stuff them into a bra. It's like "insta-t*ts"...just add brassiere.

Oh yeah. You could say I'm country. My grandad explained to me that if you caught a possum in your rabbit box, you had to pen him up for a week or so and feed 'em scraps so you could monitor what they ate, being they are notorious scavengers and will eat about anything. I'm just glad I've never been hungry enough to eat a possum.

OMG....My ex is talking my ear off right now....

He apologized for getting angry last night about the woman coughing behind us...went on and on about not wanting to get sick, etc....then said that he knows that there's another one of these concerts in the spring and said, "Not to be rude but..."

...and I totally interrupted him saying, "But you know it's a pain in the *** - but that you're going to be there anyway because no matter how annoying and frustrating it is, the most important thing is to be there for your daughter....because she is the priority and will be so happy to know her parents were there to support her."

Ike is serious. All food found in NC. Luckily, I've only eaten potted meat and spam out of that list.

H eats and likes Penrose sausages. He has eaten chitlins. He said they're "aiight".

I like fatback. I also like frog legs.

I would never eat a squirrel or its brains or a possum (or its brains).

Riddle: What do you call an average American family that spends half its income on food?

Frugality used to be a big hobby of mine.....I'm still very frugal, but I don't pay as close attention as I used to. Going back to making homemade laundry detergent this week.....

My grandmother's rabbit gravy is the best gravy I have ever eaten. I am not fond of rabbit though, no white meat. I was a professional trapper in my teens, my grandmother would give me $1 for every cleaned, box caught rabbit I brought her; she would not give a plug nickel for one full of steel shot(from shotgun pellets).

Jersey any other idea what you could do for breakfast? I can't eat oatmeal- it messes with my sensory issues way too much. As much as I love it and grits. I can't stand mushy textures. Blagh.

We grew up eating rabbit. We raised them for food because we were so poor. My parents could afford cigarettes and soda, but . . .

We also ate deer, squirrel, goose, duck, whatever dad shot. We did tons of canning in the summer and those were our vegetables for the winter.

I'd say fat. We spend on average $75/week and by the BMI scale, I'm overweight and H is morbidly obese. Also known as...fat. That's definitely less than half our income!
