Nightlight....that's a mighty fine juicer right there.

I have had almond milk foam up, but it is really thin. I actually often cheat...I warm it in the micro, hit it with the stick blender, then pour it in my coffee. It works almost like cream? ha kidding... I always say vegan can never fully replace dairy.

Well, I might try the almond milk for a while. I did cut dairy right out of my diet for a few months once. I want to get my diet and fitness in better shape this year. Not that it's awful, it's just not great either.

Night Wiki. Hope tomorrow is a better day!

Night to you Healed as well. You're allowed to say the negative stuff (at least I seem to a lot). Hope tomorrow is better for you too.

I'd imagine that would be possible if she had decent insurance. Unfortunately, she is only on Medicare - which won't even cover at-home IV antibiotic treatments. So, I'll have to take her to the ID doctor every day for several weeks for that, which will cost $25 per dosage (daily, adds up quick).

I'm sure things won't be too bad once she gets home. She is able to walk on her own, so really I just need to take care of the drain, take her to get the treatments, cook/clean/laundry....ugh, let me stop thinking about it. LOL

I am certainly going to try to take care of me. I don't know why I'm so incredibly exhausted tonight. I was dragging for much of the day too....14 days at the hospital will do that to ya, I guess.

I think I'll try to get some sleep now. I could sure use a good night's rest.

Goodnight, peeps!

Uh...yeah. That's the right video.

I guess it's not everyone's cup of tea. Maybe it's only my cup. lol

To me, it is a celebration of the human experience. Everyone is unique, yet we're all in it together. We all dance. The lyrics are pretty profound too, I thought.

CE I think you changed your mind about your post, but maybe the first video would make more sense to you? I particularly like the reaction of the various people around him, especially the kids in Rwanda. http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotat...&v=bNF_P281Uu4

Time to try this almond milk in the tea latte thing. I am trying it because the box says it contains B12...something I was looking for

hah! Thanks for the laugh SAWE. Have a good night!

Sconnie, yes I can quite easily too! There really are two of us then! I always wanted to learn to play the piano too (I'm completely in love with them). I'd still like to learn as an adult, there just doesn't seem to be time.

I've never tried almond milk so I'd be interested to hear how you find it in your tea latte too. I quite often drink a tea based chai latte.

...and now I'm back off to do some more really boring study. Tomorrow is going to be the worst exam experience I've had in a long time.

Almond milk lattes are delicious. It adds a really nice flavor. Coconut milk is good for coffee as well, but I prefer almond.

I prefer the taste of homemade almond milk to the carton stuff. It is easy to make although I doubt if it is cheaper.

I've always wanted to try to make almond or any nut milk, but for some reason I always think that I will mess it up.

Nightlight - My mother forced me into piano when I was young. I can only play a few songs now.

The almond milk in the latte is good, but will take some getting used to. I have been using 1% milk or 2% milk for a loooooong time.

Bed time here. Good night couch.

Really it is very easy to make the nut milks. Soak them drain the water then blend with some more water and if you like sweetener (maple syrup, dates (which I use) or honey etc) and strain
Thanks for this!

I forgot to say to this earlier that I had a similar experience losing my pony. I actually think she raised me (I was 11 when I got her). She looked after me and before that I'd always looked after myself. When she died I stopped eating altogether for 3 months and stopped talking, just stopped. I'd always struggled but no matter how dreadfully bad things were, I'd always managed to hide it and just keep going, even if I fell apart every time I was alone. When my pony went, that was it. I started therapy 6 months after she died. So I sort of see that as being a bit of a gift too really. That the last thing she did ended up pushing me to get the help I desperately needed.

Apparently the juicer I got today makes nut butters, so I might have to give that a go soon too.

Night Sconnie.

Okay, now really, must force myself to learn more boring theories for exam tomorrow.

what the heck?! It snowed here in Southern AZ this afternoon! It had been a long time since I watched it snow. I put my jacket on and went and stood outside under the covered walkway and watched it snow for about 5 minutes. it was beautiful. (But only because it didn't stick to anything!)
