I'm feeling a bit drained after my session yesterday. I haven't achieved anything at work.

On the other hand, I'm tempted to go for an extra session to keep up the momentum.

You should do it if you think it'll help CE. Except don't over do!

Hoe cake

No Lola, I didn't eat it. Hellz, who could eat that thing? It was like mega meat city. I can't believe people order it. H said you can get it with multiple patties. Wow.

H had some fried fish thing there, which is dumb considering we live on Cape Cod. wtf? He said it was gross. I can imagine, he usually eats fresh down at Fishhead's. They didn't even have any salads because there were no deliveries. They were out of bottled water too.

Sounds rough Wiki. So glad you have power back though. Must have been so cold for you in your house.

The hoe cake made me laugh. Now I am thinking of hush puppies now. mmmmm my grandma used to make them and they were delicious. Never made them myself, can't imagine it'd be too hard.

I've heard of hush puppies. What's in them? H's mom used to do all that southern stuff. She would make him biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs. And she'd do this pot roast thingy....holy crap, it was to die for. Even back then I didn't eat much meat, but that thing was helofagood.

CE (and anyone else who needs a lift), you might check out this video.

I always find it inspiring and thus motivating. Although it doesn't always motivate me to do work things.

Thanks, everyone, for trying to hold me accountable to setting limits, boundaries and taking care of me. I fell off the wagon for a minute there....

I ended up going back to the hospital. My sister showed up for a while with a couple of her kids. But, we left around 8 PM instead of 9 PM which is a plus.

Tomorrow, I will be there during the day but will be going to group T tomorrow night so I won't be going back to the hospital.

My mom may be coming home soon. She's not well yet, but the dr said that they could send her home with the drain in her liver and she can come back on Monday for an outpatient CAT scan and moving/reinserting/adding a drain for the other abscess. She would also need to be taken to the infectious disease dr's office every day for IV antibiotics. And she would need to be looked after while at home. Guess who has that job?

I'm not sure why it's bugging me this time around. When she had her colon surgery last spring, I had no problem with practically living with her for 3 weeks. Now? I'm just missing being at home and living my life.

It's only temporary. And my mom needs me.

I will need to set some pretty clear boundaries though because I don't want my mom to think that just because I'm there to help means that I am bound there with chains at all times.

I might have to try that. I used to drink soy (I don't have much milk anyway, just in my coffee and sometimes with cereal) but I've switched back to dairy. I might have to try almond milk for a while because I'd like to cut out as much dairy from my diet as possible. I wonder if it froths up (I like to make cappuccinos). I found that some soy milk did really well and some didn't at all. I'd imagine almond milk is quite thin in consistency?

We just got a new juicer today too that's supposed to be a slow rotation "living juicer".

Usually it would be my appointment time with T right now. Just another two weeks to go!
