TW for child abuse

morning guys me again. i think i know now why i was in such a fowel mood yesterday

funny story kind of .

some of you know that i was asked to join this group that makes artist trading cards. it caused a lot of friction between me and this other kind if clingy person.

anyway they meet each month, there is a differnt theme to follow each month in making these things. the woman who runs the thing sent me a pm on facebook yesterday to tell me she messed up and that this months theme is childhood memories lol

maybe i should show up with vaccumecleaner cords, wooden spoons, stove burners ,locked doors , and used condoms, and locked doors

I remember those!

I just saw the rerun episode of Friends where Joey reads Little Women. Then it gets too scary for him so Rachel offers to hide it in the freezer for him, which is where he used to store The Shining. That show was pretty rich. I don't always get the channel, if the wind blows too hard I think it knocks out the antenna.

I love Golden Books.... that is an awesome idea. I am sorry you have nothing good. I think most of us would agree with that statement. If their was something good , it pales in comparison to the bad, so no wonder we don't remember it. ((((GRANITE)))))

I'm beating myself up this morning because I made a mistake at work. One of the functions of a group home manager is to ensure the home is completely staffed. When I agreed to take the position, I told my boss I didn't want to handle coverage because I take heavy duty meds to sleep. During the week, I have someone to do that. Every 7 weeks, I have to take a weekend on-call.

This morning I slept through a phone call from a staff calling out. I checked my phone when I woke up 2 hours later. I felt awful. I called the staff and asked if she called someone else. She had called the home and told her shift coordinator. I apologized profusely then called the home. The coordinator answered and told me not to worry about it; they were fine. I apologized profusely. I called my assistant who normally handles coverage and she found my profuse apology humorous, telling me it happens. I called my boss. He said this made him concerned. We needed to fix this. I got that. It just seems wispy-washy on his part; ie don't worry about it...now that it happened, let's worry about it.

I made a mistake. I'm harder on myself than anyone. I HATE I did this. I know it's my fault. I chose to stay up too late. I chose to drink too much caffeine. I accept my consequences. I feel like I failed my clients.

I'm going to go back to sleep now. At least I'm off today.

Chopin... chalk it up as experience. Now that is did happen , you can put in place a system o prevent it from happening again. Things go wrong... it's life. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Thanks for this!

((( Granite )))

I can certainly understand what triggered your mood yesterday. I would have found that to be very triggering as well.

((( Chopin )))

ACK! I totally get this. I too am much harder on myself, feeling like a total failure when I make a mistake. I hope you can find a way to give yourself the compassion, forgiveness and understanding that you would give to others. Easier said than done, I know.

Sitting in the surgical waiting room, waiting for my mom to come out of the procedure. I hate this waiting. I wish they would've told me what they were doing based on the results of the CAT scan - instead of me having to wait until the very end to find out what they decided to do. And I hope they are making my mom comfortable and pain free during the process. After the last time when she was in excruciating pain, I was very clear that she needed to be made comfortable.

I can't wait for this to be over.

...The nurse came in and told me that they put a 2nd drain in...and are going to look at the positioning of the first drain (which means it may be moved).....This is what I expected but not what my mom was praying for. *sigh* Looks like these drains will be a part of our lives for a while.

She is comfortable, thankfully...in la la land, drifting in and out of sleep. I am relieved about that.

chopin, I'm sorry you overslept. I know you chose to stay up, but I'm sorry and feel a little bit responsible. You're a good person!!!!!! People make mistakes. It's human. You're human. I'm glad you can rest and sleep today.

granite, Golden Books are great! Which ones do you remember?

MUE: Thinking of you and your Mom. Hang in there!

I'm back home and have lots to do! We asked the P.O. to stop our mail but they didn't. It was between the door. My daughter who lives in town noticed that, but it was already piled up for a week by then.

I see pdoc today; I hope they didn't make a mistake and that he works on President's Day.

My 6 year old grandkids do yoga in school! It was so adorable to see them sitting on the floor, palms up, "meditating". We did some yoga together!

Have a good day, everyone.

I haven't heard from Sila, either. I hope she's okay!
