Ha! Unfortunately they polled people where I live... I am not sure how many of them even know what the Magna Carta is.

Off I go...

I woke up kinda lonely this morning and with Erasure's "Chains of love" stuck in my head. That alone is enough to make one utterly insane.

Anyhoodle. I'm a little worried too. My therapist and I have been talking about psych testing (long story) and we agreed to do some personality testing on me.

Make no mistake, I fully consented to this, but I can't help feel very vulnerable about it.

I feel like i'm handing him me on a silver platter to have at.

I know that's not the case, but it's a very uncomfortable feeling to tolerate.

It's a big deal.

I feel like I am handing myself to the woman on a platter just by walking in each week, so I think it is quite brave to consider the testing.

Good morning, couchies. I've been up since 5:30. The puppy I have visiting this weekend while his mom is away woke me up then and neither of us got back to sleep. He's a huge guy - 11 months old, 90ish pounds. My cats are hiding upstairs.

My plan for the day includes a nap.

I have no day plans, tonight me and W are going to a painting class. Right now I am watching tv and trying to type as my Pitbull is fighting for my attention. I did personality testing, I found it very interesting. It wont change anything, most likely just confirm what you have known all along.

It's a new "THING" in my area. Its called Cork and Canvas. They provide all the stuff you need and you bring Wine and you and your friends paint a predetermined picture with the help of an expert. I think it will be fun. I am sure there is one in your area and if not, you need to open one!

How did you find the class, Lola? I want to take a class because I want to get better and it would be an opportunity to potentially make a friend or two.

Yes, I might actually be ready to do that!

Plus I started an abstract last night. It's not much yet...

Sounds more like you're talking about the cork rather than the canvas.

I think I'll call it Beige on Taupe.

No there are actually places to go and do this,$35.00 per session. They are brick and mortar places, true buisnesses and they have new paintings every Friday and Saturday and you can also have Parties with a group of friends, or birthday party etc. This is the painting we are doing tonight. c o u c h 38 - The dark ages....

A glue gun incident waiting to happen.
I see people waking up in the morning, foggy about the events of the night before, and looking down and wondering "how did glitter get there?"

If it has already been painted, why are you doing it again? I would make the people pink or something at least. Do you pick a night where you like the painting you are supposed to be copying?
This is why I am never invited to these kinds of events.
Thanks for this!

Oh yeah...I'm on call aren't I? Better go call the group homes and make sure they're still standing.

We are under a Winter Weather Advisory. Possibly 1/2" of snow accumulation on grassy areas and bridges/overpasses may freeze.

The entire area is going to shut down. I better make sure our emergency weather protocol is in effect. In other words, if your replacement doesn't show up, you're stuck.

This entire post has been brought to you by Stupidity and Sarcasm. Enjoy.

Panic. Totally utterly panic.

Abandon your post and save yourself.

You must live near the coastal South. Cat-3 hurricane...no problem. 1/2" of snow...panic ensues.

Yes , you pick a night when you like what they are painting and yes you can change things to make it more yours... I fully intend on doing this. I'd invite you , if I wasn't afraid of Hankster kicking my a s s for taking her main squeeze out!

I'm back. The group homes are still standing. I was able to give one staff a night off. One client is being "whiny", but she has a 2-year-old mind in a 66-year-old woman's body. It's cold and a storm is coming. If I had arthritis as bad as she does, I'd be whining too.

So, now that all that's settled, I think I might paint some brown or perhaps add (gasp!) blue elements to my painting.
