Good evening couchies.

It is such a lousy night here. Have no idea what the weather is going to be tomorrow and if it will be another snow day or not.

Think it's going to be a comfort food night.

*fume* I was not rude to my ex-FIL! All I said was "You must have me confused with the other bigotted, alcoholic DIL. Don't make those kind of remarks in front of the girls" and walked away. Ex-FIL complained to my ex about my behaviour AARRGGHH! (steam coming out my ears)

On second thoughts why am I letting this bother me??

Making a test batch of matzo ball soup. I think I added too much liquid to the dumplings. They seem to be sort of breaking off small pieces. They are incredibly light and fluffy though, and my husband adores them.

They were accidents. Unintended. I have never deliberately hugged anyone. Ever. They should move the thanks button and hug button further apart.

I have never tasted a matzo ball. I shall have to put that on my list of things to do.

I'm sorry CE. Truly sorry. I wonder if this is something that can be talked about.

I do suspect that there comes a time where things just get too far gone ya know?

Most matzo balls are not great - kind of hard little dough balls. If you want to try it, you probably need to make it yourself. The secret is to separate the eggs and beat the egg whites stiff and gently fold them in.
Thanks for this!

Today I washed the dog. It took multiple washes to get it through his coat so I could get to his skin with a medicated shampoo that had to be left on for a while. Then he was blow dried and finally had his nails clipped. I don't think I'm in his good books today!

He does Lola...but knowing him, it won't last long! Though yesterday he really impressed me by jumping over a disgusting smelling bit of muddy bog (to get to my horse with me) rather than what he'd usually opt for, lying in it.

I'm doing okay. My H had surgery on his knee on Monday and lately I find I'm struggling with being nice. He says he's not in any pain. So I'm trying to figure out why he has to lay around then... so its been hard being nice today.
