The weather people lied! When I left work this afternoon they said 3-5" of snow overnight. Now they are saying 6-12" with heavy drifting tomorrow. I should have brought my work computer home...

She takes a pretty dim view of humanity.

I don't mind a bit of conflict and the thing I missed out on was just someone noticing and caring (or the other word that I hate and can't say in relation to myself).

I do agree that anyone seeking absolute perfection in a relationship is going to be disappointed. Even great parents can't be perfect, and are bound to let their children down sometimes. Though I do think that many people who didn't have parents that provided love, caring, safety and stability do tend to go on to really crave some of those things.

I think I really could have done with a little more stability and safety from my therapist these past few months.

WICKED IDEA:

Arrange for the fire alarm to go off while you are in session. Just sit there. I bet she calls out to you before she leaves the room.

I would also bet you get a free trip to a police station. They take a dim view of intentional false fire alarms.

Probably the stupidest thing about it all was that there was a very small earthquake during one of my sessions. T really doesn't like earthquakes (she's told me before). It was so small it could have been the building shaking from something else, but I trust T knows the building well enough to know what it was. I didn't pay any attention to it but T did actually say "if there's another earthquake I think we should stand under the door".

That session wasn't very long after the lifeboat example session and I don't think T had any idea why I sat there and stared at her in such an unamused way.

Well, that supports my view. She's not as ... (insert your own word here) ... as she thinks she is.

Good night couch... time to go to bed so I can shovel out in the morning. I am so over winter. Bring on the heat and humidity!

how couchsters! worked more overtime tonite. yawn! and i have to go in 2 hours early tomorrow!! it's cuz of the snow in kansas where one of our centers is, I guess a lot of peeps there can't get into the office, so we're trying to take their calls plus ours. Fun times. I still must be creative, I'm crocheting earrings now, I made 3 pairs today. They are extremely easy and fast to make. Super-quick projects make me feel all accomplished LOL! I would post a pic of them, except I can't find the charger for my camera and it's got no juice. Grr.

Each kid and the dog have decided tonight that mommy doesn't get to sleep through the night... I'm tired.

One very interesting side-effect of my decision to break with T: my fear of death has returned.

I take enough meds to tranquilize a horse. Why am I still awake? It's almost 4 am.

I am not paternal. I am over 40, I send out a lot of cards, and I crochet. I tend to use "honey" more often than "sweetie". I already tell you what to eat, if it just involves telling you to zip your coat and put a hat on I'm in. What's it pay?

I have an intense fear of becoming a hoarder. Bad. I freak out if things pile up anywhere. Not joking, I worry about it all the time. Those shows freak me out.

Chopin, I work with middle class, upper class and I volunteer with DV woman teaching them how to make ends meet. Believe me when I say the only difference class makes is how much in debt they are. Most people screw up their finances at some point in their life. Some learn from it, make good decisions and move on. Others continue to jump from one mess to another. I have a client that has lost 4 houses and declared bankruptcy every decade for the last 5 years. His income would be considered upper class. You didn't ask for advice, but if I were to give it anyways it would be: don't avoid talking to the creditors. I know it's frustrating and hard, but as long as you are talking with them you can make arrangements and save your credit score. Partial payments are payments none the less. Medical bills take tiny payments and don't generally report to credit companies. There are businesses that will do that for you, but believe me it is much better to do it on your own. Make a budget and use it. http://mappingyourfuture.org/money/budgetcalculator.htm
