Yes, but I worry someone would be forgotten and get their feelings hurt or feel even more like they were worthless or something.
Thanks for this!

My nephew wanted his own vacuum cleaner at that age!! I wonder if they want to control what frightens them. So what toy do I want? Hmm...

All my facebook friends that have died, their pages remain as a sort of continuing tribute. My step dads is still up and one of my dearest friends.... its therapeutic to go to their pages and "talk" to them. We could call it The Wake room....

ok ok bad idea

Most people screw up their finances at some point in their life. Some learn from it, make good decisions and move on. Others continue to jump from one mess to another. I have a client that has lost 4 houses and declared bankruptcy every decade for the last 5 years. His income would be considered upper class. You didn't ask for advice, but if I were to give it anyways it would be: don't avoid talking to the creditors. I know it's frustrating and hard, but as long as you are talking with them you can make arrangements and save your credit score. Partial payments are payments none the less. Medical bills take tiny payments and don't generally report to credit companies. There are businesses that will do that for you, but believe me it is much better to do it on your own. Make a budget and use it. http://mappingyourfuture.org/money/budgetcalculator.htm
Thanks for this. I've done good budgets before. Our problem is sticking to it. We are so used to being able to buy almost anything we want, when we want. H and I are both guilty of this. I'm planning to seriously look at our bills once I get to work. I need to know exactly where we stand so I can figure out where to cut.

I have talked to one creditor and set up a a payment plan. I'll talk to others if necessary. Thanks again Wiki for the advice and the reminder I'm not alone, no matter what "class" I'm in.

Chopin -
I use Dave Ramsey's cash method for most of my spending. It has really helped me.
