My daughter and her kids have been with me all week, they went home this morning. I miss them, but the dogs and I are now settled in on the deck in a 60 degree sunshine, overlooking the lake. Poor sadie...the little kids were hard on her. She did good though.

I missed an appointment for scans on Wed, and now my docs are harassing me by phone, so I shut it off and threw it in a drawer. Screw em. If the cancer is still lingering, it can wait until next week because I am too damn tired. And I know I have given up T...but it pisses me off that she canceled twice last week and said she would call back to reschedule for this week but never did. Grrrrrrr. She can eff off. I know I am stupid for letting it bother me, but it does. Like I am disposable. Disposable Wiki.

Finally had a call back from the specialist for my daughter and we have an appointment scheduled, but not until May.

Lots of work to do, and the office to move, and not much ability to concentrate.

Been thinking of you, Wiki, and wondering how you're doing. I hope you weren't affected too much by the bombs. I found out three young men from my hometown, that I went to school with, each had to undergo amputations . But I am very grateful they're alive. We Bostonians are tough sons of b itches and we will not be terrorized!

I know the disposable feeling well. It's not fun to feel ignored/forgotten/disposed of, whether you've given up T or not.

I didn't know any of the injured, weird because I know about 21 runners. A friends daughter was half mile from the finish when it happened.

MKAC....what did they say? Auto-immune? I have years of experience with that, my daughter has behcet's. PM me if you want to discuss.

They still don't know, Wikid. They ruled out the "big" stuff, the doctor said. All of the cancer screenings were negative (THANK GOD). The blood tests show she does have some sort of ongoing inflammatory response happening in her body. Otherwise, her symptoms are just being constantly tired and achy, getting every illness that goes around, and periodic dizziness. She had a fender-bender yesterday because she suddenly got really dizzy and disoriented and bumped a parked car. They are thinking some kind of auto-immune disease or chronic fatigue.

ick. That sucks. Poor kid. It's so hard on them because they "appear" healthy from the outside, and people just don't get how bad they feel. Sometimes my daughter walks down the stairs like a little old lady. I hope they figure out something soon, that must be so frightening for you. (and her)
