But I don't not like you a lot.
Is it too gushy?

Well, I am home from work and fed. Had Lasagne Hamburger Helper for dinner.

Thank goodness today was the last day of keeping the kiddos at school quiet while the rest of the school FCAT tested the past 4 days. That was difficult.

I got an email yesteday from Florida Virtual School (FLVS) asking me to take a style profile quiz (it asks what you would do as a teacher in differernt situations). I took it last night. Well, today I got a phone call from FLVS wanting to set up a phone interview. I get to sit on the phone for 30 minutes on Monday at 5:30pm.

If I were to be hired by FLVS, I would still keep my current job, as FLVS is only hiring adjunct teachers right now (18 hours a week). I couldn't live off that as a single source of income, so I would definitely still need a day job.

Sally, that is horrible and I am so sorry that you know so many people going through amputations. I agree though that you all from Boston are tough. You are close to being oxymoron's. Most people from Boston are the nicest, toughest, bastards I have ever met. This is said with much love for Boston and after many evening spent with Bruins and Red Sox fans.

Wiki - I'm glad that you didn't know anyone directly that was injured. Also - I hope that you can just keep on doing what is right for you. Sometimes the Dr.'s and t's can just be too much.

At marriage counseling tonight, we finally discussed the CSA and my mother. My mother did something intensely creepy (at least from my perspective) with my son's girlfriend -- but it looked innocuous and like it could be an 'accidental' thing. Because of my history with her, I reacted in a huge way, but my H actually reacted also and went over and was going to intervene when the GF, grabbed my mother's hand and moved it (in a self-protective way, but not mean or confrontational and I think the GF is really amazing). But the big thing for me was H was READY to step in. Anyway, to discuss this in marriage counseling required me to bring MC up to speed on the whole CSA thing, so I said that when I was growing up and my mother was flagrantly mentally ill, she was abusive in every sense of that word. MC was right there INSTANTLY with the understanding that I was talking about sexual abuse.

I have been alternately impressed and panicked -- thinking he's a great therapist, OR my T told him already. H said, however, that I have talked around the subject a couple of times and mentioned my mother's HUGE boundary issues and my difficulties in close relationships with other women, so he thinks MC basically knew and was just waiting for me to be ready to approach it directly.

You and H seem pretty in tune right now.

I always get my D to do the difficult jumps for me in Ratchet and Clank. She is BRILLIANT at that.

Take a chill pill, LC. I simply meant read something you want to read. I have a copy of Emma right behind me and it'll take me years to get to it, if ever i do. I'm certainly not on their side.

Does anyone else have a reading list? Sometimes it's depressing because I know I will never get it finished. I'm always adding to it. The discussion in the last few days led me to add at least a half dozen.

Anybody read Ha Jin? I just found a copy of War Trash that I thought looks interesting.

Growing up CE, my Mom would bring me books from the library(she worked there) that were not checked out, not even entered into the system sometimes. I would keep them for months. It ruined me from being a good library patron. Many libraries frown on keeping their books for months.

Why yes I did, and those were all books I had read. It's the unread books on my reading list that cause me grief.

Are you having fun? Miss W? How many times have you talked with her on the phone since she left this AM?

Sorry Lola. When my W and I are apart, she worries the **** out of me with endless phone calls. I would enjoy the lack of contact. you should call her if you would like contact, if you want, if she wouldn't lay a guilt trip on you. Nevermind. You can call me. The number is BR-549. Bet you don't know where that's from?

While growing up, my father travelled a lot (good military guy then good corporate guy). My parents talked once a day at night. After growing up with that, it would makes me crazy if partner called more than once (barring actual need/emergency) while one or the other of us is out of town. Sometimes we only email or text if a work function has us out late.
Thanks for this!
