You young people and your new fangled candy and those game boxes. Back in my day we only had peanut butter and chocolate in cups.
And ice cream was not in dots.
Thanks for this!

Rotten day at work. Meh. Just finished my 2nd glass of wine. I wanna tell my sup to take her stats and shove 'em where the sun don't shine. But I am too couth so to do. So instead I come home and vent to hubby who then gets on my case about "when are you going to realize it's just a job?" and then I scowl at him and he says "well I'll just go to bed then" and runs off to bed like a pu$$y. HA!!!

God it's good to not feel the need to start bawling when he acts like that.

Ever noticed that the healthier you get mentally, the more you can tell how much other people need therapy?!

I love this commercial with the mountain man dude running through the woods with the dr pepper 10 can frozen on his hand he's kinda cute at the end there LOL

'Course that direct tv genie girl is kinda hot too.....

Ain't being awake and alive grand!!!!

Morning Tilly....

Morning peeps. It's chilly and wet here this morning. The first sub par day I've had in the new place, I thought it was going to be perpetually nice here. Dang. At least the dogs peed quickly this morning. H went back to work after 2 weeks off, so I get to just sit and relax and enjoy my coffee this morning. No big plans. T canceled twice this week, so no reason to drive an hour to meet with her. I am thinking it's best to just let that go anyways. I mean, an hour is just too long, and in the summer with the tourists and all it will be even worse. Not going to look for anyone new right now, life is just too busy. I find I do okay when I have a lot going on.

I never post on the couch but I am looking for new ways to procrastinate from work, yay?! And yes I agree with this 100% artemis. I had that exact thought yesterday as I realized how much more well-adjusted I am now and how certain people in my life are NOT.

OK back to work (maybe)

My horse shoer is coming at 11, so at 8 am, I decided that meant it was a waste of time to drive 10 minutes to the office just to turn right around and come back to meet him. LOL. I do have work to do, and actually got my briefcase out and it's sitting on the chair next to me. I am, however, surfing the net and cuddling my cat, and thinking about making brownies for a dinner we're going to tomorrow. I also need to get to a good liquor store and get a nice red wine as a gift.

Any suggestions on good reds for a reasonable price? The guy lived in Rome and Paris and ... so his taste in wine is considerably more sophisticated than mine.

Ike, I'm glad you were able to share good memories.

A Reese's peanut butter bar would be my undoing. I'm adding Cracker Barrel to the list of places I cannot go.

I actually ended up getting 2 pages of my thesis written yesterday, which is good for me. Then I went to T, where there was also progress. I've actually conceded that not everything is my fault/responsibility. For example, physics. The laws of physics are not my job. If gravity fails at some point, it will not be my fault. T was ecstatic.

While hanging out on facebook, I keep getting hit with these stupid things one person is posting about her mother and how great she is and how much mothers do for their children, blah blah blah. It is really pissing me off and I want to punch someone in the face.

MKAC - I am thinking cage fighting is my solution. I want someone (particularly that therapist) to do something egregious enough so that I am justified in annihilating them.

Here are some that I like that are less than $20:
Chateau Coupe Roses Minervois (served at my wedding)
Darien Rioja Tempranillo
Domaine La Bouvaude Cotes Du Rhone
Monte Oton Garnacha

And if you can't find those, any Cotes du Rhone that says "Mis en bouteille" either "au chateau" or "a la propriete" is going to make you look like you know what you're doing .
