I called. And I survived lol. I found out yesterday that my abusive ex husband hide over $100,000 from me in our divorce...or tried to. The lawyers apparently found everything and did the court documents to split it, but I just found out it existed yesterday when someone happened to call me and mention it. We've been divorced for 5 years. So its great...they found it and I'll get my half, but it was so unexpected and I know he"ll be PISSED that they found it...so its triggered all the fear of him and all the messages he cemented in my head that I'm the bad one and he's a saint. So I feel like IM doing something wrong, when HE's the one who tried to hide it. Messed up I know. So I called one of the people I have to talk to...now I have to talk to people at his work, which is even more anxiety provoking than the call I made today. I am going to have to put it off til tomorrow though because I have to go take my daughter to gymnastics and they'll be closed before I get back. It'll be a great thing when I get it all worked out

(((Mkac))) this reminds me: around the time I was living my mother when I had my breakdown, her friend's son bought her friend a house. When my mother talked about it, she would add, "Ahem!" Similarly, the woman living across the street with her adult daughter often cooked a nice dinner, causing ME to cough. Next thing you know, it was a freakin pertussis epidemic all up in there.

How good a daughter can one be, with a mother so rejecting? Any relationship is a two-way street.

There is something wrong with this logic. I don't think you have that much control (in life; nor does anyone); and THATS what really hurts?

Can we say, mistakes were made?

I think the bigger question is whether it is the best decision for you. But that could encompass the finances part or happiness of family, enjoyment if the work itself etc as part of the factors going in to the decision.

I believe that usually people do have this much control should they choose it. Not just me - I think everyone does. I think it is the unusual situation where one could not have avoided it if one had done things properly. I certainly know where I went wrong in walking into the trap and I do know I could have avoided it with just a bit more alertness. And as long as I remain more alert, I am reasonably certain I will let that happen to me again. On this one, it is less the fault of the therapist in that she was doing what I think therapists do - manipulate clients. I had the responsibility not to let myself get manipulated in that way.

Evening couchsters. Work went well today. They ended up not needing me to proctor FCAT (just found out today)...so I'll get to stay with my usual class and keep a bunch of special needs (mostly autistic) students quiet while the rest of the school is testing. That should be "fun" as some of them are normally pretty loud. Hopefully we won't disturb the test group next door.

Had chicken and spanish rice for dinner tonight. I need to get better about eating vegetables everyday...I don't always do that.

Well...sorry to everyone who is having a rough day...I hope tomorrow (or tonight) is better for you.

Well so far so good....it has it's moments, as far as the work is concerned....I am loving it... this is unlike any job I have ever had before, very free.

It was God who lead me to this job, as I found out today , that my old boss has been demoted and that the old office Hag may be out of a job. ... Fyi my title is equal, actually better then hers now! Woot Woot!

Good for you Lola...you rock it! But make sure you squeeze in T here and there. And eat breakfast. And vegetables (yea Squirrel, I'm talking to you too)

Really chilly here tonight, I know I should shut the shades and keep the chill out...but I can't stop staring at the water. I think I'll get a fire going instead.

This place needs a liberry(sp).

library.jpg

I polished my shoes before the funeral. This is what they looked like after a few minutes in the grass.

IMG_0163.jpg

The pollen was so thick you could see it wafting in the breeze not that there was much if any zephyr present. Standing in the sun at the graveside in my suit sweating like a jenny the pollen stuck to all exposed areas of the epidermis which for me means the face and cranium where the achaetous thatch used to reside.

(Hey SD, that last sentence is my feeble attempt at a Faulkner impersonation).

A fire sounds great! I was thinking about the whole T situation again.....

I've been eating like crap and sleeping like crap... But my days are great. It's like I'm trying to sabotage myself.

Ike - have you read TR Pearson at all? I suggest Gospel Hour or Short History of a Small Place - like funny faulkner. Sentence structure is amazing.

LC - go see T

SD, I have read all of TR Pearson(I think), The only novelist that mentions Hardees in Wilson, or was it Goldsboro. I remember the lady at the county fair with the buckeye.

I also really like Clyde Edgerton [I collect him as well, (have about five first editions(four of them signed)], not that he is anything like Faulkner, just funny and Southern.

I have read all of TR Pearson too - I usually start people out with gospel hour or SHofSP because I think they are the funniest. I laughed out loud while reading both. I tried Edgerton once, was not grabbed, but perhaps I will try again.
