As far as trauma work, personally I don't see the point. I was advised by a top trauma facility that it would be better for me not to try to get into it. 18 yrs of it would take too long to process, it would put me in trauma work for the rest of my life. The best thing for me personally, is to learn how to change my reactions to myself and others. To learn coping skills. I am getting really good at keeping myself from dissociating. I have said things about my past in T, but we have just talked about emotions, never details. I had a T once that was all bent on revisiting every incident, and I learned quickly that that was impossible. I'd have to sign up for a rubber room.

* again this is FOR ME, not anyone else. We all do T differently.

It is a constant challenge. Such a challenge that right now, I have requested that she not talk unless she wants to ask a question. Her talking does not help me. Literary allusion to her is like therapy speak is to me.

OMG OMG OMG i was messing around on FB and saw a post that my step sister posted on her daughters FB .so i decided to send her a friend request . and she accepted!!!!!! OMG she has refused to talk to me for years because of how the mother treated her . some how i got thrown in this .anyway she is posting likes on my pic and stuff and i dont know how to respond .kind of paralized about it .i never expected her to respond and i dont know how to respond to not make her go away again.

I really need to find a way to stay grounded.....I HATE leaving my T sessions feeling this way - like I'm about to self-destruct.

Going to go back to doing some cleaning. That should help expel some of this pent up anxiety.....

Thanks, wiki. It seems like every task I give her, she asks for my help with, which annoys the living S H I T out of me.

Me too, squirrel. I was defiant and stubborn, but I was also raised in a very volatile household. I was hoping that by raising my daughter in a more caring and loving way, that the teen years would be easier for us to endure. I am still holding on to that hope.

I beat the hell out of it with a hammer, and then used some coarse sandpaper. Looking for that severely beach-worn look.

This going to sound callous in the wake of all the other posts, but I can offord either a large fried rice OR honey chicken not both which do I choose? Which is the best value? Which won't give me food poisoning after 3 days?
